There's no good way to level alts right now. Why is it so difficult?

The normal method of leveling an alt right now is to do a braindead grind from 1-60 of the same exact leveling route you’ve probably done 300+ times. Dungeons for 12-20 hours, or 2-8 hours of questing depending on your level of tolerance. But once you hit 60, there’s virtually no way to level to 70 efficiently aside from Timewalking. Next week when Timewalking is finally over… You have zero options for leveling to 70 aside from dungeon grinding. No one wants to repeat the same boring quests in DF over and over and over.

Tell you what though. Far better now than doing it 1- 120 and having professions level up thru the entire game instead of broken up by expansion like they do now.
Every time Im thinking something is slogging with leveling a character up, I remember my first two and how miserably long it took just to get to Legion (current at the time).

What? Alt leveling is insanely fast. I do dungeons. Takes me between 8-10 hours of /played to get to 60. This week with timewalking it takes me maybe 5 hours to get 60-70

Some people have as many as 50 chars, the account max. If you want to level, lets say 10 new characters. Now you need to spend 100 hours to do so. that’s insane? also 5 hours for 60-70 is pushing it. Cannot be true at all… I have like 12-15 hours played for dps and im lvl 65 on another char. it’s at least 20 hrs as a dps…

I have 60 characters which is the new account max. All my characters are level 50-70. You are preaching to the choir here. I love to level alts in dungeons. Heck, I sometimes delete a toon just to level a new one.

ETA: Out of 60 characters
8 Are level 50
21 at level 70
All the rest are 60.

Um… my total played time on Erae is 3 days, 4 hours. How are you finding it difficult? You know about Chromie Time. Right? Choose an alternate path. Switch it up.

People were 60-70 leveling in just a few hours the second week of Dragonflight. Timewalking is actually slower than just questing, it’s just the better time to dungeon level.

Leveling alts is extremely quick and easy, though.

Why aren’t you leveling in WoD? You can go to the other zones after the first, or earlier.

It’s the fastest leveling by far.

Why do people keep saying “no one”

People who want to create a huge army of alts suddenly find out they have to actually invest a little bit of time for each one.

Considering how much time walking we’ve had and how fast it goes, are you tryna level cap all possible characters for 1 account or something?

Also normal dungeons do give 2/3 the amount, not like it’s only 10% of TW’s amount. So do that plus quests and you’ll be just fine.

Yeah, I have more max-level toons now than I have had in any x-pack in at least the last decade (probably longer). Leveling has been extremely quick and easy, especially with 6 straight weeks of TW’ing.

OP is 100% full of it.

Is it? One dungeon is pretty much more than half a level for me and it takes like 10 mins to run lol.

It is really not. TW is the fastest option for leveling that I have found so far.

I may wait to level my last few alts when timewalking comes back. I am not a fan of DF dungeons (or anyway not the one involving flying), but am even less a fan of the open world (hmm I’m seeing a pattern, also flying).

A solid month of timewalking got me through quite a bit.

Umm, that’s just the current fastest way.

There are plenty of ways to level otherwise. Dungeons and questing work just fine from 60-70… are you looking for an “I WIN” button to skip that?

Needs to be made permanent/24-7 :ok_hand:

Winning an argument is much easier if someone present an illusion everybody is on his side and you are alone.
