The amount of times I am just sitting in stealth at the side lines for my stealth to randomly break from literally nothing is very frustrating. How can rogue mains stand this? Usually happening in BGs and no I don’t have dots on me, the combat log shows nothing either and it happens a lot.
the voice cape does it anytime a party/raid member enters or exits its range
this is one of the big ones and I hate it
Between that and it taking me to nearly 0% haste if enough people have it…
Random stuff like affliction professor snape magic will knock you out (i think some of those effects have very long range and is intended).
Druid jungle book swarm and the ghosts from a haunted chuck e cheese of a shadow priest will find you and break stealth (intended).
Similar to piercing howl days or fern gulley earthen root totem from a shaman. It is all intended.
It sucks, but we deal with it as it isn’t going to change.
Lots of it aint bugs, its just anti rogue technology.
Shadow Priest Shadow apparitions will not break your stealth if you create enough distance. Same with many of BM’s abilities and then glaives.
There are four components:

You used to be able to vanish and dodge projectiles coming your way that were in mid air. Sometimes even with stealth. But that no longer exists so now the trade off is Rogues have mini immunity from Vanish.

Any buffs that BlizZard has not checkmarked to be compatible with stealth will break you out. Adrenaline Rush and Shadow Blades do not break stealth now but before AR always broke your stealth. This happens every patch and why at the start you can have your stealth broken by simply your team or the enemy team capturing a flag.

Phasing because you can always recreate stealth breaking in EoTS if you walk, sprint or run across a certain segment of the map or AFK at a spot long enough.

Macros. Macros tend to break stealth the most. Fix your macros.

Dunno as you can literally hang glide from freakin lumber mill to almost land in goldmine upper ridge area and those hobos will chase you and break stealth for sure.
Trying to regain stealth from demons that run at mount speed with crippling poison injected in their legs also is uncool but here we are and we deal with it.
Also been thinking on the recuperate tuning and Im not sure why it was touched as its likely to never be permanent unless people are doing cancel aura macros on purpose (likely as degens do) which likely is the reason. After they swapped its position Ive just dealt without it at this point.
Iron stomach is prob counting its days as well since people are drawing unnecessary attention to it.
Shadow heart is an ok bonus but would rather have unbreakable stride since mages have been injecting code red into their IVs and slamming us with slows ha.
At least deathstalker has some nice cdr for step and cdg has a slick charge to immune like dfa if timed well. Fatebound anti slow talent is also pretty nice on beta too.
(New nasty rupture dot from deathstalker still breaks stealth on beta like replicating and sanguine blades were doing (reported it a few times over diff builds btw as we are getting close to game time)
Oh for sure splash damage from mushu fasa lasers ( kung pow enter the fist reference) and people stacking on you like a 15 yr old box of ramen definitely goofs re stealthing and unlucky starfall procs resetting stealth combat timers is a drag as well but /shrug , nothing we can do about it.

Its even worst now at prepatch after vanish nerf. Most of the time they can still see after I vanish for the first 2-3s even I dont have dots and have vanish shield. They somehow can see me after I vanish.
it keeps breaking me out of stealth. it drive me crazy.
When you vanish, you can still be seen going transparent for about half a second. Although their target on you drops, they can still see where you’re walking. and when they finally cant see you, they obviously have a general idea of where you’re walking to if they werent blinded by the omega-mounds of aoe light. and with only about a second of them needing to know where you’re likely going, unless you have a step ready for ally then you should be prepared to get aoe’ed out.
3 seconds seems to have been the sweet spot for the vanish-level stealth to keep you stealthed, although another second would have been nice.
No I am talking about 2to3s after I vanish. I can see them looking at me right after I vanish while I am looking at them. Not the half second rule. And I run vanish shied also. Its only happen at prepatch after the nerf. Need to report to bug forum.
They say that the modern vanish is not an improved state of stealth compared to stealth. But I think that is where the problem lies.
Back in MoP you had shadow walk which obviously worked against higher level NPCs. But it also worked in PVP.
Guaranteed break, join a WSG / Twin Peaks (havent tested other BGs) and when the game starts stealth and sprint out. It’ll break stealth in less than 5 seconds.
