There's apparently a housing TEAM, relax about dev time

The most logical assumption is that the core design team is the one that’s actually working on it since it’s going to be an evergreen feature and it will sit at the heart of a lot of content as far as decorations and time spent goes. I feel like if they handed off to a specific team outside of the court team, the coding might get changed or feel uncomfortable as they move forward, trying to make additional changes. The only way to ensure that it can be upgraded and still be relevant with the game itself is to make sure that the core design team is the one that’s holding onto it. That said they have enough people on just about every team not to have to take any specific number of people away from one project simply to work on the other.

As an achievement hunter myself I’ve had to rethink my approach to this game over the last few years. Some things I will simply never be interested in going for. Ideally I want to maintain a 75% completion rate on achievements (meaning right now I’m a couple hundred behind…)

I’ve done “perfect games” on some of the Final Fantasies, but those were cake compared to WoW…

Ion Hazzicostas expressly stated that WoW players would lose a raid tier if they spent developer time on player housing.

Years ago. Things could easily have changed between then and now

I also recall they explicitly stated we’d never get classic.

(Unless I’m mistaken and they actually said “we have no plans at this time.”)

Think the real reason housing is getting put in is because Blizz sees it as a gold mine for micro transactions.

Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing because I like to see them make money and we get cool content for it
