I do play ret, they are fine right now in Naxx in spite of what people think. The larger problem will come in p2. Once we take off the 1% from glyph of sense undead and Warriors get ARP, the gap will widen and ret will not be wanted in most raids. Some will be taken but most will not.
At that point, if rets want to continue to raid, we will be forced to raid as an offspec or reroll.
The problem is not right now like most people are trying to make it seem by throwing logs up and asking for breakdown of what HoW has equated to in dps. The problem will be apparent when rets are behind the lowest dps class by 7-10% due to patch scaling and poor ilevel scaling.
Im going to play ret either way but it doesnt feel good no matter how well you play a class to be at the bottom by a large gap. I dont think we need to be at the top but i dont want to be at the bottom by a large disparities.

make it gcd locked. even if you give it the rogue feral gcd of 1s so it basically wrath spams like a boomkin.

This is a reality that people can’t understand. Worse is that they ask for custom balance changes on a rehost of an old game. The whole point of this is to play it how it was. If you want new changes, then go to retail. That’s why retail exists. It did all that stuff already.

Not even custom changes, just literally the patch notes from original wrath.
We currently aren’t playing it how it was. If we were I’d have seal of blood and a 110% CS on an extra 2 second CD. But changing it at this point would be inauthentic to the original experience.

I lost to a fresh spriest the other day, granted i got like a mid 80s on a boss but still.
Like 2 days ago my friend raided and a Warlock was casting seed and only seed on everything… Including the bosses, needless to say the Warlock grey parsed.
Just your typical retadin. I mean, they play a class that can attack while invulnerable, pretty much the epitome of cowardly.
This person must have been in a guild bringing a spriest and a CoS warlock into 40 man raids kekw. Just look at WOTLK logs with 8 UH DKs and you’ll realize that if classes aren’t balanced closer together that people who are in the top guilds will never play with this mentally. If blizzard wants to give you options they need to balance classes in a way that gives players options and doesn’t force them into one class.
If you are killing bosses in 2 minutes Ret Paladins are pushing 7.5k with JC and Engineering in P1 which is more than enough. I am a Ret Main in Wrath, and as it would be nice to have our ICC bonus early or whatever else you can argue for, if we can be in the top 9 regularly and top 6 or 7 with amazing rng whats wrong with that. We have already received a buff in the form of Hammer of Wrath now scaling on Melee AP vs Ranged AP, and I think if you cant be happy with even small changes reroll. Or do what I did alt something that pumps like a rogue to get the top dps itch out of your system. I know it sucks as someone who is 98.4 avg and cant touch even 8k single target, but if you came into wrath expecting Ret to pump you didnt do enough research.
Ret and Wars have been the bottom for a while. Blizzard needs to give them a break.
