at one point. It seemed like most of the players weren’t even ranking, just playing for fun. Heard some anniversary guys saying there were more WSGs on Era ATM. Just some info for the “Era is dead” crowd.

I plan on tinkering around with various characters in wsg when I get back in town sunday. I can sort of tolerate era wsg when ranking is not on my radar.
Era is doing so well, that an era player’s first thought is to run to the forums to tell everyone when a faint sign of life is noticed.

If you see either Smellybeard or Tathayis in there, that’s me and I’m not there for rank, just there to have some fun. WSG isn’t my favourite, it can be just a tad too sweaty on an individual level if people want it to be, but I’m trying to be more open to it this weekend.
We’ll see what happens!

Every WSG weekend. Most players in Era who PvP do not care about ranking. We play this like its Halo back in 2001
Do AB/WSG even pop on Anni during their bonus weekends?
The pants and tabard are pretty good. you just need to win about 200 games.
The unfortunate thing is classic wsg is the worst version of a bg wow has ever had.

It’s highs and lows. Just got out of an almost hour long match but boy did that win feel earned.
Still prefer AB at the end of the day, but I do like a hard won WSG match.
I am now torturing myself on alts in wsg. I really want to have some fun pvp, but alas its wsg weekend.
Just joined one, saw Logic was in it, and just afked to play another character. Ain’t nobody got time for that turtle
Somewhat perspective. There are a ton of people who really love it, it is just sub optimal for ranking if the game is balanced with the present PVP system that blizzard forced on everyone. Under the old system it was fine because its slower honor rate meant nothing as the maximum rate per week was flexible.
Perhaps a change could be made to the ranking system so that the cap is 500k on AV weekend and 250k on AB and 250k on WSG or something like that… Just making numbers up, its about what blizzard likely did when they changed it seeing that they have not totally thought it out.
some bad behavior on both sides on occasion… sometimes its premade groups who zone in not to win but to hold everyone hostage like that in one way or another, or just a single player exploiting into areas where you cannot get without cheating. Not talking about the top of tunnel or any of the regular hops, but areas like behind horde base or behind allies base and other similar areas.
I’m just trying to have fun pvp. Don’t even care about rank atm. Wsg blows due to no time limit and that it caters to having an organized death ball, that alliance does better due to paladins.
I felt the same way in 2005. The introduction of AB was a godsend.

My personal preference is AB then WSG then AV, but I do love them all just AB is easy BiS.

I’ve been playing WSG all day and had a lot of fun, both horde and alliance. We even won some against Iogic 
I think the only WSG I lost today was when badjelly, bignasty, and xdrain were all there with their healers.
7 wsg and all of them filled with naxx geared sweats, lets be fair, pvp is dead on era.

7 is the equivalent of 2 AVs, about half the rankers. Pretty poor, but pump it or w/e.
