They’re making a huge mistake by bringing back an AOTC mount. I hope that they reconsider this decision. Logically, every argument for why removed items can’t come back will come down to “But you brought back an AOTC mount.”

It might be because Legion was when community lead carry runs really took off. I remember having a macro to help people get it back then.
You could still buy AOTC from MoP, but it was less common back then to be sure.

The only restriction they have mentioned with regard to AotC mounts is that they won’t go into the Trading Post. Beyond that, they can make a decision to put them back in the game at any point and by just about any method they want.
The response regarding AotC often is that sure, it was a raid reward but players can pay to be carried, so ultimately its a gold purchase. If you have it, you’ve had it for a few years and it will always remain a very pretty mount, no matter how they loosen the reins of getting it.

That makes sense. I actually bought them both but the Wolf came from a friend’s raid guild on my own server where the Legion one was someone spamming trade with a multi-server group.

Honestly, I’ve never understood why the AotC mounts are removed entirely from the game after the respective tier, rather than staying in but having their drop chance drastically reduced the way the mythic mounts are. I understand that limited time rewards can be fun, but that particular distinction has always struck me as strange.

I only think it is weird because of the double standard put out by Blizzard. They start off saying that limited achievement rewards are important because it shows off the accomplishment that you earned when you were there, but then in the same post bring back other limited achievements. They said one thing, and then immediately went against it.
People argue that you could have bought the AotC mount runs, and that is true, but it was still a limited time thing. A lot of people were proud that they did that, and it meant as much to them as Mage Tower did to others.
That said, I do not have issue with them bringing it back so much as I have issue with Blizzards hypocrisy on this subject. I honestly think they should have either brought neither back (and introduced recolours people could earn), or brought both of them back.

you can pay for carries in all content, m+, raid, pvp, i imagine that’s how so many of the people frothing at the mouth about their precious cm sets got theirs

Yeah it’s the only thing I can think of.
Friendship Moose and Friendship Birb both were stupid easy to get.
But I’d also be fine with not having them in Remix. Blizz is consistent with Challenge Mode rewards being a no. I don’t have a problem with them being consistent for AOTC too.
Although, they should’ve been consistent with the Mythic raid gear. One random set removed from game was stupid. It’ll be in Remix, but it should just be in the game.

You can buy 1800 carries. So if buying it is a disqualifying factor to roflol-prestige bring back elite sets too.
Blizz just talks out their butt. Case in point bringing back vision title. i did it in bfa. How dare they /s. I literally wont even notice if ppl use the title. And new ppl now got to play some stuff i did ages ago.
All these threads show me is that ppl need to get more in their life than wow. What? Are folks walkin around mog policin? Do ppl put their wow stuff on their CV or something? lol.
Its all made up and the points dont matter anyway. But i guess some folks need it more than others
