title. the phases add too much by this phase that it’s basically not vanilla anymore.
as some one that likes to level a lot of alts, the vanilla experience is gone by phase 2. items and even quest changes get rid of why , i personally, like fresh vanilla servers.

Classic Anniversary launched almost a year ago, if that’s what you’re referring to as a “fresh.” I think the OP is talking about something more inline with Era fresh though.
idk how many years you are going to live, but even the 3 month resets on poe are too long for most people.
and I’m talking about a PERMANENT phase 1 server without all the extra bs that comes from the other phases. or maybe stop at 3. the phases literally change where gear drops , the leveling process and more
I unironically think Phase 3 is where Vanilla ‘‘peaks’’, though the AQ and Scourge events are a lot of fun. Wouldn’t mind a Phase 3 permanent server, but with the need to seperate BG queues etc it probably would be too big a splinter. A phase 1 levelling focused server would be fine if its understood its meant to be about the journey, like hardcore servers.
BWL phase = BIS phase.
That phase as with aq and naxx need to have those files deleted permanently
Phase 1 SoD was fun too, then went to trash.
Phase 1 Forever Server is essentially Hardcore
except they are on phase 6 with everything i mentioned and more that changes it from phase 1
