In plain English you want major changes that go against every Classic is. Players didn’t come back to play your abomination of Classic.
They want the closest experience possible to Vanilla, and that’s Classic.
The thing is the majority of content many are really looking forward too isn’t out yet. Hundred’s of thousands who never got to raid Naxx 40, or even AQ 20/40 are waiting for that.
While I can’t be 100% sure, I seriously doubt this will ever happen. You won’t get NEW content in a decades old version of the game. You may see BC servers, but at the very most, they’ll be BC servers with certain QOL changes removed from the game (flying for example)… but they aren’t going to commit resources to revitalize a game version that had among the highest paying customer base ever in any PC game. Just isn’t going to happen.
Even worse, the game’s been out for a MONTH. A very minute amount of people clambering for changes are 60 and have killed Rag. The rest are people who got to level 12, quit, and spend their time insisting how much they LOVE CLASSIC, but only if we changed every single thing until i like it like i thought i would…
Technically Classic is watered Down WoW which is watered down EQ, so basically Classic is the Lime Budweiser of MMOs, it’s better than it’s bigger more popular brother but it’s still basically water.
Good thing you know what I want to change. Don’t worry your ok’ish mage will still do well. Don’t worry I’m sure Sithilius will be much more fun the 10th time cus “ITS NOT ABOUT ENDGAME YOU CAN LIKE LEVEL ALTS AND FISH”
I said I would let you have your static museum servers, so you can play MC OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. FOREVER. For the rest of us, the people who don’t have rose tinted glasses.
The People who played Vanilla not as a child, or a college student, or whatever easy life in pre recession 2005, but people who want the experience expanded and is not so afraid that they need to keep everything static.
No see OP, you don’t understand. Vanilla WoW is literally the perfectest piece of game design EVER and it’s impossible to ever improve it in anyway.
I for one am completely fine with paying $180 USD a year for a game with no updates, and will post religiously on these forums about how I’ll NEVER quit vanilla even though I’ll never make it past Molten Core.
