Character Boosts are currently broken and it looks like it’s mainly impacting characters that have recently gone through other Character Services (Name Change/Faction Change/Server Transfer/etc).
There has been communication (only within some forum posts) that the server maintenance might fix the problem but we’ve now had the normal Tuesday maintenance and the extra Wednesday maintenance and the problem persists. To my knowledge the issue has been around for 4+ weeks, completely locking people out of their boosted character (that they also just paid for some other service on too). It seems like there have been multiple attempts to fix the issue that haven’t worked and with it being a holiday week it’s likely players will entirely miss out on the pre-patch and maybe even launch day on their boosted characters.
Given this is a known issue with no current fix, I feel like there absolutely needs to be some sort of warning/notice at the time of Character Boost purchase/usage that at least makes the player aware of the issue before buying or using a Character Boost.
Something along the lines of:
“Please be aware: There is an ongoing issue with Character Boosts being used on characters that have recently gone through other character services (name change/faction change/server transfer/etc). Using a Character Boost on a character that recently went through another character service could result in the character being unavailable for play until a resolution is found.”
