There is a notification in the Launcher RIGHT NOW, RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND, at 8:40pm on Thursday May 16th.
It says that there will be SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ON FRIDAY, MAY 17TH FROM 7AM PDT TO 8AM PDT.

Aka I’m already at work. Maybe they can fix my battle net launcher. Probably need to just reinstall it

So “scheduled” maintenance is when you get at least 24 hours notice and you can see it on the launcher?
Therefor, “Unscheduled” maintenance would be: SERVER SHUTDOWN IN 2 MINUTES…

Just remember to have a lot of the side quests done because you will be interacting with characters from those quests.
Also you will need to do them on alts if you want to make an appearance for each toon.
Tabbard is account wide but selecting how it looks is per toon and you need to do the quest to open up appearance selection and if you haven’t done the side quests it will take longer.

In the future they should probably have Remix type events be its own server with its own shutdowns.
This game is going to become a nightmare for development if they can’t start creating long term solutions that have the future in mind.
Wouldn’t be surprised if the game is completely non functional in a few years
