There is no right or wrong way to play

I think I’ve come to a realization, there is no wrong way to play the game. Pick whatever race for whatever class that appeals most. Find a server with good people and have fun.

I’m sorry for bothering people with my idiocy these last few… Months?

Anyway thank you for putting up with me.

No, there is a wrong way to play.
It’s called rolling an elf.

I didn’t think that you said anything idiotic. Plus, all of us have some sort of an issue or inherent thing that we struggle with. Its always good to help someone out, I hope that people in general assisted you in a nice way and that no one was mean.

Incorrect.

Some people roll rouges.

I don’t think anyone was intentionally mean, tough love maybe.

It depends on what you are doing and where, so in some cases yes, there is a wrong way to play.

What about gnomes?

The sole way to play wrong is by griefing other players. I so totally agree, play what you want and whatever, however, makes you happy. I play a warlock, and only a warlock, and I’ve been through the whole roller coaster of being OP’d to being woefully lacking, but, I love being a warlock. What I really hate is someone else from another class, telling me how to play my warlock, or telling me to make a different class character altogether because “my class sux”.

Depends entirely on what one is doing.

If your having fun, you’re doing it right. If not, you’re doing it wrong :call_me_hand:t2:

Meh your threads were fine

lots of folks play horde.

and really bad mages.

Depends what you’re doing. In activities involving the progress of other players you can definitely be doing it wrong if you’re impacting others negatively. Their experience matters too

It’s fine if the wrong way is established at the start and accepted by friends, but unfair to impose on strangers who had common sense expectations

I was talking more along the lines of what race to pair with what class, or what server to go to. While yes when it comes to group content it’s best to play at your best.

Race i agree 100% as its a non factor for 99.5% of all players in wow :ok_hand:

I was picturing a ww signing up to an rbg with his class fantasy of being a sith lord and only using jade crackling lightning as ww and nothing else

Oh god.

Blizzard says otherwise. Fun? oh no no no. Nerf.

Nothing wrong with asking other people their opinion on your characters. I’ve done it a couple of times and it’s helped. Like I got a new name for my gnome and decided which of my paladins to convert to holy.

What about a good old-fashioned Frost DK tank queueing up for LFR as a tank in Frost spec? I would say maybe this is a wrong way to play. Hehehe
