Covenants are like questing factions and hubs, as they said, the same as the Suramar faction hub. Yeh with a little bit more to it such as giving abilities, the same as we have today with essences at the forge.
Why are people so quick to defend and trust Blizzard when every time we have given them the benefit of the doubt they have let us down? Remember how hyped and excited everyone was for BFA? Remember when everyone said war fronts and islands would be so awesome? Remember when they said the heart wouldn’t be the AP grind he had in Legion?
People say you can’t call this bad based on just the limited information. Fair enough but likewise you can’t say any of this will be good either. Blizzard is very good at hyping things up and presenting it in a way that looks like it will be everything we ever want but then when it actually hits it’s just another grind and another batch of the same old thing.
There are some serious questions and concerns about how much meat is on the bone with this expansion but fan boys are to quick to defend Blizzard to stop and really take a hard look at it. Then they wonder why Blizzard ignores them, why shouldn’t they, it’s already been shown they if they just make a few vague promises people will eat it up and defend them for it.

There’s also a talent tree like system involved as well as various mounts and cosmetic rewards and differing story narratives depending on your choice. And that’s just stuff they’ve gone over briefly.
If Blizzard added new races/classes, you would have cried and whined that they where op.
They can’t win.

I think this is probably why. They want to make the next expansion more like classic+, so that it will be the expansion both for the retail and the classic WOW. instead of keep inventing something new, I think they are gonna revisit old ideas and perfect them .
I just remember this expac called BFA that boasted a bunch of features
stuff like islands, war fronts, allied races, hearts of azeroth and azrite gear
and they all sucked
just do all the boring stuff that went end up doing all the time anyways but make them good
People weren’t suggesting 100% of the game population played Death Knight in Wrath.
They were simply correcting your patently incorrect assertion that Wrath was just ‘more of the same’ rather than containing new mechanics, races, classes or content.

Aren’t it a bit early to say that? They haven’t revealed everything from the expansion, but have said they will reveal more tomorrow.

i member. Honestly i’m glad they are going for 4 different lore campaigns that was a huge problem in BFA everything was just grinding it made making alts absolute garbage, it got to a point i leveled my monk by throwing ox totem for mount farmers because that was more pleasurable to doing the zone quests / war campaign over again. Why make allied races if you aren’t going to give them their own quest lines within the new zones so that they feel unique and are an actual part of the faction war. (one or two named npcs appearing here and there don’t count) it was the perfect opportunity to flush out their lore as well as introduce them to the game and help making the alts more rewarding. Transmog sets should have their own story line quest chain for the heritage armor too. Legion was pure keeno with the amount of lore / quest chains. If they don’t come close to the amount of uniqueness legion had they are going to find themselves with an upset playerbase. WOD sucked everyone knows it, but it led us into legion and that was glorious. Shadowlands so far has a mary sue no shocker no big reveal trailer and 4 factions with their own unique stories confirmed. Now legion had 4 factions just in the 4 leveling zones each with their own unique stores, plus the class hall campaigns with unique off shoot stories / spec, plus the suramar story line. BFA had 3 zones / faction for 6 zones and 2 war campaigns 3 if you count the rebel option. I think they are trying to add more than BFA but less than legion and it’s probably not gonna cut it for casual players.
It doesn’t feel right that there’s no new class, there’s been a patter and now it’s broken.

DKs on allied races doesn’t count as a new class but we can wait and see tomorrow maybe something will change. they don’t like necromancer because it conflicts w chinese culture.
the suite of customisations will allow for the ‘Mag’har effect’ though. Of all the Allied races only one had 6 separate ones, and that was the Mag’har with their distinctive clan customisations AND outfits. Wildhammer dwarves, Dark Trolls, glam rock scourge models all in the same race (and that’s just what they’ve shown), without balancing and racial traits to have to cough up. And no gating either I presume.
I would find it very very VERY strange for them to announce Necromancers (or any new class) and not have them mentioned in the feature preview but it would make me a little happy at least until I get to see them in the Beta.
It’s all the more annoying cause one of the covenants is really big on necromancers apparently but nah that’s for NPCs only. 
Pretty much my opinion on it as well. Thank god classic exists. I think I might just sit out this xpack.
IMO i don’t even count this cinematic reveal as the trailer to the game. It was sylvanis show episode 3: Return of the 8itch king. I’m waiting to see what they do with it tomorrow. I’m hoping that we see a new MAIL wearing class (sorry i don’t want necromancers but that’s my opinion) The game needs new lore and if sylvanis is the introduction to that lore fine whatever but we didn’t see ANYTHING about the shadowlands in the reveal trailer other than that the gate was opened by destroying the crown of the lich king. I suspect that come tomorrow there will be another trailer perhaps w less graphics and more content reveals.
wtf, we got like 6 new races in BFA, and people are seriously complaining about not getting MORE?
no new classes? How about they fix the ones they have, which they seem to be doing by the way they are talking.
I would hate to develop for people like you.
