Bruh don’t gaf
There were people who started playing in Vanilla long after it launched. It’s no different in Classic.
Vanilla started with a lower pop and gained pop over time, meaning The longer you waited p, the more people would be leveling their first chara along with you or experiencing their first dungeon, without a care for getting lvl 60 as fast as possible. Classic is the complete opposite, it stared with a SUPER high pop and lost a huge portion of it on a matter of months and most people who stayed are lvl 60. And are leveling alts as fast as possible.
Imo you won’t get the vanilla experience from classic, because it’s not vanilla, you will get the classic experience.
PVE is never too late. You can start up whenever you want.
PVP has a limited time frame because the realms fill up with ganking 60s. Once that happens, good luck trying to quest.
You’re thinking of phase 2. Once BGs come out theres no pvp on pvp servers. Horde and ally walk by eachother and wave.
Will you get the vanilla experience that we all did when classic launched? No. Is it too late to start, though? No. Leveling might not be as engaging as it was 6 months ago but you will still find groups and pvp, especially on high pop servers. Unfortunately at this point classic wow is top heavy with most people being level 60 and raiding, the good thing is you can hop right in once you ding 60 and get attuned and you probably don’t even need much pre bis gear either since a lot of MC and ZG items rot or go to alts.
I must be doing it wrong
Wait a minute. Isn’t this an oxymoron? How can zones be “empty” and without “players” if:
Moving on…
I’ll tell you a little secret…get a guild.
Duh.
It’s never too late. Leveling Guilds are still out there and kicking. You just gotta find them. The PuG life ain’t worth it.
Hi, I just started playing WoW classic and I don’t feel like this at all.
I’ve leveled from 1-44 in couple of weeks and have made a ton of friends a long the way.
Whenever I’m stuck in a zone, there’s usually someone around to party up with.
I’ve built a network of similar level players for easy dungeon forming and overall the experience has been full of social interaction.
I joined a really nice guild, who helped me out with enchants and stuff.
It has been a lot of fun so far. Socially and mechanically as a MMO WoW classic is refreshing in a lot of ways, it has depth and fluff! The immersion is top tier in comparison to everything on the market.
Not sure i should have to explain this to you but Vanilla gained subs. Classic has been losing subs since August. The experiences will not be the same.
I’ve met a ton of new people while leveling my 7 alts on Grobb 2 Sulfuras.
Even in Vanilla, the leveling experience became more and more isolated as time went on. It’s worse for classic, because at least vanilla had new players constantly streaming in.
However, just wait until we get deep into phase 6. You want to see WoW ACTUALLY die? Well there’s your chance. Just watch what happens to the servers when all the content is finally out and all the guilds who are interested have long since killed KT.
I think it was you, Tln, that told me a lack of interest in Group Content is a “dead” game. Like, if it was just Soloers around, but they weren’t interested in BGs nor Raids, that that still classifies as a “dead” game. Personally, I disagree. I still think it’s if I’m the only human on earth playing the game. Of course that is my opinion, but I do see your point about the Group Content, thing, and this being an MMO and all. Of course, I could be confusing you with somebody else
Dude everyone that you do find is levelling alts, and mid level zones are almost empty or they feel empty.
So? The doesn’t mean you still can’t befriend them nor engage with them. Or, better yet, end up joining their Guild!
Yeah, still not seeing how those “leveling alts” would not be in “mid-level”. And, even if it “feels” empty, so? Less Competition over Quest Objectives. Not seeing how this is a “bad” thing?
It’s a bad thing because not having anyone to complete elite quest ruins the experience. And the “classic experience” lots of people talk about doesn’t happen with alts, many of them…and I do mean many will avoid you, decline group invites despite doing the same quest and will avoid GC. The few that do answer are 60s passing thru the zone and sometimes they won’t bother with questions asked there. Alts mare for a less engaging experience than mains and the few people who are still on their main probably don’t play the often.
Why do you care?
Again, Guild.
Yeah, I really want to define “Classic Experience”, first. What exactly does that mean?
Uh huh. Strangers are not obligated to help you. Again, Guild. However, IDK what you’re doing, but I’m still able to PuG and engage with others, just fine.
Again, nobody is really obligated to help you. But, it goes back to my prior answer of “Guild”.
Guild.
Classic experience means an actually engaging leveling experience, have you levelled your main in March of 2020, no you literally do not know how plain this leveling experience feels like when everyone is the most anti social creature on the face of the earth, which is a contrast to the early stages of classic wow. I don’t quite know if you understand that the levelling experience isn’t engaging anymore, that’s the point of the post.
Oh my pandaren green jesus.
Can we stop with the silly notion of “It’s too late to play WoW” please?
Is WoW actively stopping you to play the game? No.
I don’t know who that is.
Well, theirs always new people who will join in the Classic WoW.
Who’s this “You” your talking too?
Don’t tell me what i’m gonna do. If i want to make friends on Classic, i do that.
To be fair, the leveling experience is much better then retail, for the sheer fact that 50% of the game is built for it, and it’s pretty fun leveling up slowly, getting a slow drip feed of abilities and talents and such.
One of the good things i like about Classic.
Well tanking really isn’t as easy as DPSing in Classic, especially since theirs only 2 tanks.
Find a guild and tell them “Hey can we do a dungeon but slowly and chat the whole way though?”
Or join that pug’s discord thingy or something.
Or… actually try to start up a conversation?
Again, are you leveling a main in March 2020? No, it won’t be the same as your experience. Everything you listed as a solution I have tried and has failed to get someone to end up levelling with me again. Also if anyoje can say whether or not it’s too late to experience an engaging levelling experience, it’s someone who is still leveling their main in 2020.
