Using the chokepoint is the only viable way in the horde meta of “lets rush vann” for alliance to win games. This sounds like a horde main getting upset they can’t win a game in 6 minutes.
Finished my R14 in the first wave. I also like PVP and don’t mind if there is more of it in a game.

I get my AV PVP on with tail defense and kiter protection.

Ok, but let’s be honest here- the shorter games are that way in spite of your best efforts, not because of them. In one of those bgs, you were yelling in raid chat for us to farm the horde in their cave and the team decided to disregard your instruction and just win the game instead.
Reverse demands achive the desired results with an insolent group.
I was in that game Zugging Drek at the end, I knew what was goin on round me, and that game was glorious. Long Live the Turtle.
“Insolent” meaning taking relief hut and killing Drek the way the game was designed? Got it.
No.. Insolent in that the offense was weak and I had to push down from Def side of the map to help them get it done.
Almost no one in that battle other than a scattering of horde and allies on Def (.both sides) were Era players who I know.
The rest were all new transfers.
The shorter games happens because the defense helps provide enough time for the Offense to kill Drek.
Oh we’ll farm the horde in the cave for sure, because they do it to alliance too.

Had a 75 minute game a holiday or two ago. Lok summoned, etc.
Maybe half of the team was there from the time the gate opened by the time it was over. The other half whined embarrassingly about the time and quit relatively early. Everyone else took park in an epic win with tons of real team pvp and HKs.
If you’re lucky you’ll get a handful of these over a weekend. These are the games Im queuing for and hoping I get into.
I dont log in much these days so I cant speak from recent experience but some horde whined like hell when they saw Thatone on the other team. Someone would call “Thatone premade ugh” in chat and like 10 people would quit in like 30 seconds. I always got stoked though because I knew I was in for a fun game.

Does horde ever try the strategy of dismounting at IWB and killing the premade?
The games Im referring too were a small alliance clique that forced turtle games.
During Classic, when 40 man premades were a thing we got a few alliance 40 man premades to afk out by trinketing back en masse to wipe them on Drek. Attempts to stop them at IWB would just end in a cave HK farm thanks to how coordinated and geared they were.
Which faction is hurting more for pvpers?
Sounds like Horde. If so, maybe I should roll a Horde healer.
I’m a paladin atm in Era, but on Retail I help whoever is losing.
My 5 man team does exactly the same thing and we were talking earlier today that its crazy the horde dont just dismount and try to kill us. They just get absolutely merced on their mounts and then cry about turtles lol.
On EU servers, they put the players from Russian realms on the same team, and they are famous for virtually never losing a single AV. They seem to accomplish it by one single strat of just always sticking together and fighting as one.
Surprisingly rarely.
They could win the fight if they all just focused for a minute and maybe drank a fap or two.
But zerging greenskins rather stay mounted, hold W, and pray

In the OG days I remember starting and AV going to bed for 7 hrs and getting up and that same same game still going lol
