There are still threat problems for non veng-DH tanks

The 10% threat buffs weren’t enough. All non-veng DH tanks struggle heavily with threat, which in turn requires a rogue or MM hunter to be mandatory when running anything high.

Bare in mind this is based of people with similar ilvl obv of the dps is way above you on dps yes will be issues as there should be.

Prot pallys are just fine for threat only lose threat to people on wrong targets or poping there burst when I don’t got myn up. Cases that are exactly when you should lose threat. Threat should matter in the first bit if people pop there massive burst right on the pull when you don’t got yours should lose agro give the tank a second to build agro before poping your full load.

When using the m plus dps lego thou even with there burst can hold agro just fine assuming there on the correct target.

Can even further boost threat on single target with taunt that I haven’t needing to be so provided people are on the correct target still a long way of having threat issues furthermore the claimed massive issues.

10 percent buff was fine.

Yes if your kiting your threat is lower as it should be the downside of kiting is losing agro and is exactly what is wanted to be happening. Threat was reduced so exactly that case happened and is the whole reason only a 10 percent buff was given. If you are talking about losing threat durring a kite than that is working as intended and the advantage hunters and rogues bring. Threat issues are only a issue if they can’t keep agro in non kite situations.

I have 0 threat issues on my guardian druid. My warrior…I don’t even want to talk about my warrior as I HATE tanking on him, but yes, there’s some pretty bad threat issues but I take it more as I suck at prot warrior (I mostly play arms / fury, only play prot if getting a tank is that troublesome and I know the healer can handle my awfulness). My paladin doesn’t really have much problems in managing threat, especially considering the ilvl disparity that character has in comparison to my usual group (they are around 200 ilvl, my paladin is pretty fresh and is only 175ish). I’m currently leveling my DK and haven’t even touched my DH or monk yet so can’t comment on those.

The buff to threat overall with the last patch didn’t really feel noticeable, but most experienced tanks I know didn’t really have issues even before the patch, myself included (minus that derpy prot warrior). I’d love if more experienced prot warriors could chime in and say if they are struggling with threat, I think my dps / threat rotation is fine I just struggling maintaining mitigation and cycling cd’s properly but threat (which is more on topic with this post) does seem to lack a little bit there (currently 190 ilvl playing with people of similar if not a little higher ilvl).

I second/third playing protadin and having no threat issues lol.

Where are your sources from?

Haven’t experienced too many issues with threat unless I am heavily kiting and some dumb dps is going absolutely ham on the wrong mob.

My only issue with threat is that brewmasters are not very good at bringing mobs into close range. So I can taunt a mob, but if it’s a caster and there’s nothing to los and it’s immune to clash like half the other mobs, it just sits there and casts until I lisr threat.

So with multiple mobs at range, I have one taunt, and I need to pick.

When I run my Ekeg / chen’s setup I have a little bit more leeway since I can taunt one and keg the other at 40 yd for a 6k crit. But if I’m running charred passions, I’m basically stuck in melee range.

why Blizz didnt added a way to fix the "ranged " issues is beyond me

Dk have it easier with death grip and cant keep agro on ranged with DND and different attacks

paladins have captain american attack that silences

dh can put a aoe silence at range and have a talented aoe grip

mnk , have keg but this one doesnt silence nor anything would be cool if monk had a grip in form of “chi” attack , or a wire that pulls the mob? mortal kcombat skorpion style

bears…nature helps them too right? FF silence like they had before

PVP : easy make it work like paladins work on pve mobs only .
