Yeah pre-humans.
I think Elves and Trolls are different enough from each other, like Vrykul and Humans.
For one, Vrykul are pretty dumb lol, they are a society of warriors. They’re dumber than humans are, anyway. Stronger and larger, but not as smart.
They don’t have technology aside from like, harpoon guns, that isn’t magic.
It’s like comparing Ogres to Orcs, there’s a good bit of difference.

Honestly, humans aren’t that advanced either. If it wasn’t for the gnomes and dwarves, they will still be living like the Vykruls as well.
Difference is that Vykruls aren’t as tender and squishy as their deformed offsprings so they didn’t need as much armor. Their skin was like armor already.
You’re right, we need more humans and less everything else.
