8.3 she would be a raid boss yes or maybe some big quest chain

We take her down and then as she lays dying…

SURPRISE!

It’s actually one of n’zoths servants that shapeshift into her! The real Sylvanas is in chains and within that raid we find her

See this for my theory

Anduin personally frees her and they are like “I’m sorry I accused you for X and Y”

Then they give compassion towards one another and hold hands in to the next raid and possibly final boss

Well maybe not that last part but still

Why you think she wanted Xal’alath?

Why you think the Horde player gave the dagger to Sylvanas (N’zoths “gift”)

Why you think she ordered to burn down Darnassus (old gods love to consume life, Darnasssus was full of that)

I have a feeling they are going to go more of the Illidan direction with her.
The “See, I wasn’t really being evil. I was doing all these bad things for a good result! Just because I do some shady evil stuff to save my people doesn’t mean i’m actually a bad person”!

At this point they’re really in a bind. No matter what they do with her half the playerbase will be upset

If she gets a redemption arc then people will cry bad cliche writing even though those same people were probably ok with illidan getting one

If she gets killed or goes SoO 2.0 people will cry that it’s rehashed and that they are tired of the musical chairs amongst the horde leadership

It’s a lose lose at this point

They could just keep her evil and let the horde be okay with it, instead of killing her off. It is the “Battle for Azeroth” expansion. Wouldn’t be that bad of a thing to actually have an “evil” faction for once.

For once? They’ve been painting us evil for a few expansions now

Na, just the Warchief and his/her faction has been “evil”. Most of the horde was only grudgingly following garrosh or flat out defying him. Really only the Orcs (and not all of them) gave their support.

Same with Sylvanas, except replace orcs with forsaken.

I wish they would just let us be evil full force instead of the absurd internal conflicts

It honestly seems like blizzard is trying to make you hate sylvanas as much as possible. She was never a nice person but, she seems to kick puppies for the sheer pleasure of seeing the starving orphans they befriended cry lately.

I miss Thrall’s Horde.
We were mostly good and the Alliance was the more morally grey one.
After all, a good aligned Faction WOULDN’T SEND PURGE SQUADS after neutral factions.

Except Ion said Sylvanas is not a character who would ever find herself in chains so I don’t think this will happen. Sylvanas being influenced somehow by N’zoth is one thing, but being locked up in chains in a dungeon somewhere isn’t something I can see happening with her.

I’d like to see sylvanas jailed by Bolvar. Her last scene would be him on the throne with her mindless banshee form floating beside it, with a tear frozen part way down her cheek.
