Theatre of Pain is terrible

It’s way too long, last boss has no telegraph on frontal and it’s a horrible boss and very unfun dungeon. Take 3 mini bosses out and remove 2 bosses and it’ll be decent I guess. The timer needs 5-10 minutes. Absolutely horrible dungeon. Adds get interrupted and start casting immediately again like season 1. This dungeon is the definition of unfun. Horrible horrible experience. Also the rams have no telegraph either for their charge.

They sit unmoving for 2-3 seconds in their starting position before charging straight ahead…

What kind of telegraph are you looking for?

When people post things like this, check their armory or IO as they might be a fool, a troll or an alt. In this case the one posting has 0 experience in M+, so could just be spouting trash for attention.

I think they should remove the start with the 3 mini bosses I’d agree. But at this point who cares

Sorry, used to this toon being my main. Main this season is my hunter Atremis.

To say it doesn’t have a telegraph is a bit much. It’s appears to be buggy on turning at times, but you can definitely tell when it’s about to do it.

My issue is there are frontals in the dungeon that have the long telegraph that shows you the width and length of the attack coming and this boss doesn’t have it. There’s a lot of visual vomit going on in that fight to. Blizz has been adamant about adding visuals to every attack so you can react to it and dodge rather than “oh you didn’t look at the boss because you had to deal with adds and dodging balls? get clapped.” Meanwhile ever other frontal in the dungeon “here is the attack that’s coming.”

I mean, yeah I suppose. It’s not as good as some of the other telegraphs but it’s still there. You basically just don’t stand in front of the boss.

You’d never know a frontal was coming if you never did the boss before. They’ve done so well in every other dungeon and even in the same dungeon by adding the visual telegraphs on the ground but for some reason don’t have it here.

I think that it’s fine that the charges doesn’t have telegraphed lines as they’re moving extremely slow. If they had lines, they ought to charge as fast as the bikers on Vexie in Lou othervise it’d be way to easy to dodge it.

As for the frontal it’s pretty easy to just stay behind the boss at all times, wouldn’t hurt if they fixed the bug in its rotation though.

I’m not arguing that it could be better. I’m just saying it’s there.

Except for the trash on the platforms that use the exact same mechanic, just like every single mechanic in the dungeon is used by trash or a miniboss before it’s rolled into a full boss. They forgot to add the new lines to the last boss, okay, but the mechanic is still there for you to learn the very first time you do the dungeon.

I think some of it is with the last boss, she actually holds what why shoots out, like a laser she controls as she rotates.

NP, it happens, but it is one of those things that some will loo for as a call out to try and discredit you, I am better as I do allow for it to be an alt (or in your case, former main).

It’s not though, most other frontals got an updated graphic which shows on the flloor exactly where it is. Not only this one didn’t, but the graphic it does have is frequently bugged.

It’s also hard to see depending on graphics settings, which is why they gave all frontals more noticeable graphics. The liches in Kultharok’s wing got the update, this one didn’t. Mogdul Razdunk got the update, Mordretha didn’t.

fr tho, i dont like ToP either, but thats because its a primarily ST/low target count dungeon, which i dont enjoy, but thats just personal preference. even though i dont like it, ToP is honestly one of the easier and more fair dungeons of the season. wouldnt call it horrible by any means.

TOP timer is fine. However if you want anything more than a +1 you’re in big trouble.

ToP is such an easy dungeon. As of right now you don’t know how to play it.

No, it doesn’t. It has a graphic (that is frequently bugged) but it doesn’t have a telegraph like all the newly developed mechanics do. They seem to have forgotten Mordretha’s frontal when adding the new telegraphs.

If the standard is must recognize mechanic on first try, then I died to the last boss in Floodgate.

Clearly, sparks need a nerf.

Motherlode last boss also needs a nerf. (Yes, aware of safe spot as well as how you’re supposed to do mechanic.)
