The XP buff is glorious

As an altoholic who got 6 characters to 25 and BFD geared in phase 1, I was finding the grind to 40 too daunting in phase 2 for alts. I got 2 alts to about 32 before getting sick of it.

This XP buff has solved that. I feel encouraged to altoholic it up again. Thank you Blizzard.

I’m loving it. What the “well why don’t they just get rid of leveling altogether then?!” people don’t realize is there’s a balance to it - It’s not that we dislike leveling entirely (at least, not all of us) but rather the pace of leveling that matters. When it takes too long to level it wears on the desire to play. Turning in an entire quest hub all at once only for each quest to barely even move the exp bar just feels bad. The exp buff makes each level fast enough that the high of reaching one level is able to carry on to the next one before fatigue starts to set in

Its a welcome change, i mean how many times have i gotta level at a snails pace to “ExPeRiEnCe tHe JoUrNeY”, been playing this game for near 2 decades I have done the leveling exp plenty of times.

Also leveling isn’t the only way to power up a character, you still have to chase runes and get gear etc etc, so it is not as game erasing as people crow about.

As I said in another post. Make quest reword 3x xp and gold. But keep normal mob kill the same. Ppl will start to enjoy questing again

Yeah the exp buff is great. Getting levels last night on our alt bfd raid was good, and then i hopped onto my priest for the first time since P1 and went from level 20-22 just by turning in a bunch of quests that were just in my log unfinished.

I have a level 1 whose been chilling as a bank alt with gear piling up… little worried that he will take off and become my new main with no looks back

I’m glad you’re having fun :expressionless: the problem is, you shouldn’t feel the need for a 200% exp buff in a classic game (especially not one that is level capped for months at a time…). The fact that SoD desperately needed this is a huge problem. And the exp buff doesn’t fix it; it merely covers it over.

Yeah yeah, you don’t like anything, we get it.

you edited this from “you don’t like it” to “you don’t like anything” which is disingenuous and wrong :expressionless:

In less than 30 seconds, I changed my mind on the wording because it’s true. You do nothing but complain all the time. I can’t imagine hating myself so much that I’d dedicate all day to a forum for a game I clearly loathe.

Id like it a lot more if we had the TBC implemention of reputation rewards for completing quests (e.g. no reduced reputation gain for ‘gray’ quests).

I think it was an appropriate correction.

I said I was glad the OP was having fun :expressionless: what more do you want from me. That was extremely generous.

The xp buff is amazing and the only reason I’m sticking it out in SoD.

I wish I could perma ignore/mute your account, but you hid your profile. When im not on my phone ill see if there is a way to permanently ignore your profile.

You hate SoD and everything that isnt hyper purist era, please just give it a rest man. We get it, you dont like anything but era.

Isn’t it ironic :expressionless: you’re defending blizzard but their ridiculous forum software design is keeping you from ignoring my account.

Have a good life man, I hope it improves

I think a lot of us have the same issue. LMK if you know how to fix that
