Subway Surfer is my vice
For the first time in a long time there are no games, pc or console I am looking forward to at all. ok maybe as a side thing some Classic Wow.
Conan is still my jam atm.
Ridiculous amounts of fun since I finally got around to killing the Scorpion Queen, kept and raised the hatchlings on a diet of Demon Blood and got 3 Scorpion Kings and a Scorpion Queen.
tucked them away inside my base under cover, then heard the delightful screams over Discord as one of the Cimmerian Clansfolk decided to plunder my base, jumped in over the one clear area I made that wasn’t full of plants and spikes hidden in the plants, and landed smack dab between two of these giant scorpions.
Now, for those who don’t play this game? The giant scorpions models (King/Queen) have a knock-down/knock-back effect with their normal attacks, 9000 hit-points, a AoE attack that also knocks people flying and poison sting attack that can also knock you back.
So needless to say, getting sandwiched between two of them generally results in you getting combo-locked to death.
So I am now ransoming the thief’s gear back to him in exchange for an agreement with the Cimmerian Clan for them to leave me alone for the next three months, since they just recently got curb-stomped by a realm-wide war that they started and have been reduced back to basic-tier structures and crafting stations because everybody got so P.O.ed at them we got together and nuked them back to the stone age.
I predict a retaliation in the next few days, given how this Clan works. This is gonna be hilarious when they realize I have four of these things, plus Frost Giants, plus named Tier 4 Fighter and Archer Thralls all equipped with Legendaries.
They will raze my base, but by the Fangs of the Old One, are they going to suffer for every step they take into my house.

So you’re Switzerland at this point.
Effectively, yes.
I tried GNB a little. I was mostly DRK before friends quit and I’ve focused on MCH since then but I love tanking so wanted to at least try it. It was kind of dull to be honest. I wanted more gun stuff beyond the minimal cartridges and prefer DRK over it still.
Meanwhile I have some very specific theories and predictions of where this Eden Raid is going and who will end up being the final boss and if I’m correct I’m not sure if my inner fanboi will be able to handle it.
Meanwhile I feel like I may have narrowed why I seem to prefer DRK over GNB. GNBs damage mitigation feels weaker than DRKs to me (some quick research seems to confirm that). Whenever Im doing higher level stuff I very, very much miss TBN for Tank Busters or “im in too tight a spot and can’t get out of this mechanic in time”.
to be fair TBN is frankly busted right now; a 25% max hp shield is insane.
One of the few XIV content creators I like recently released a new video and it just help solidify in my mind how excellent Shadowbringers has been.
I had a feeling it was considering the nothing cooldown and how easy it is to make sure you have at least 3000 MP at all times.
Ill probably get GNB up to 80 in case I want to switch down the line. Ill definitely give that video a watch.
You know I just watched that video and:
- That was awesome and made me smile
- Ironically the first two comments are from Larryzaur and Goldentot two of my favorite XIV content creators.
I played a couple of rounds of Hunt: Showdown!
Got maxed out by some dude like three minutes into the first game. Cool.
Second match, gunned a guy down that was running into a warehouse. Super cool. Snagged a clue, go to the church and all is well. Got a clue. Gunshots. Go to creep my way out the way I came but now there’s a dead body there. Hear some movement, so I did the pro gamer move that would behoove me the most and his under the scaffolding. Dude climbs down the ladder and there’s this brief moment where he just stares at me shortly before I end that man’s whole career. Third clue is right on the other side of the church. Cool.
Make my way to the spider boss. No more gunshots, but I’m still creepin cuz my luck is awful. Finally get to it and come face to face with this bounty for the first time ever. Wanted to nope my way out, but I’d come this far. Killed it, banished, snagged the bounty. Boogied on out, snagged 10 levels and uh, turned it off.
So, my RP server on Conan did a recent event that ended up becoming a ton of fun that we’re planning to make a monthly thing.
Basic jist of what happens is we pick one of the major clans on the server and it’s more or less a ‘Storm the Fortress!’ type event with a scenario of the target’s making. Rules are that the sieges must successfully take the constructed ‘event fortress’ and kill the enemy leader. If the besiegers win, there is a bunch of fancy stuff for them to have. If the sieged wins, everyone has to pay tribute in a fashion similar to the scenario made (nothing crippling, however)
So, I got pinged to go first given my Darfari Warlord’s success in the previous few major server battles. So I basically decided to make a South China Sea scenario where he went ‘The entire south river is -mine-’. I was given a week to build up the ‘Raid Fortress’ for the attackers to assault and staff it how me and my clan saw fit.
Story spark for it that was a caravan traveling along the river with goods from everyone (and a couple of important people) was seized without compensation with any who resisted just sacrificed to Yog. An apology was demanded to which my Darfari warlord answered by staring blankly at the messenger, eating someone’s severed leg before saying “If you’re so upset. I dare you to do something.”
The Siege of Yogriver Fortress then began the following day. To the surprise of no one, raging commenced as people wanted into my many traps and even kill rooms where I was keeping my particularly nasty minions waiting.
The event I’d say was also a nailbiter since it’s climax was the Yamana clan getting into my character’s throne room and deciding the event in a -single pixel- in a duel which ultimately came down to my Darfari Warlord and the Yamana Shogun. Sadly, the samurai boi was just that little bit quicker on the draw and claimed the victory, forcing the South River to be international waters again and getting all the snazzy loot the server mod arranged since the Romaboos, Khitans and Nords faltered.
I was having fun soloing ARR Extreme Trials. Managed to snag the Titan EX pony.
