I’d jump on the EA anti-hype wagon, but she’s currently full at the moment so I’ll just trudge along behind you all.
In more Conan news, I finally joined a RP-PvP server that’s got a pretty cool mod who stops folks spamming foundation blocks everywhere for territory claiming and griefing, some nice little pre-built Player Kingdoms where the resident Clans hold sway and you’re expected to at least pay a tithe of some kind for entering their territory and ‘using’ their resources.
It’s kinda fun, but the Mod admitted she was going to be away for a few days and her girlfriend’s teenage brother would be handling Mod duties in her absence.
thank GOD she has admitted over Discord that she’s got the server backed up before she left because he’s been flying around spamming World Bosses in the middle of people’s bases, summoning Star Metal meteor-showers over the top of said bases and causing server-wide Tier-4 Purge events constantly ever since he got slapped down for asking for nudes in Discord, and we’ve just been heckling the shizzle out of him throughout it all because we know DashaFlasha specifically backed up the server because she doesn’t trust the pubescent pocket-ferret farther than she can throw him, but he’s the only tech-savvy person she could lean on for that period of time.
Thankfully he’s not tech-savvy enough to know how to immediately demolish people’s bases and cities so while the casualties are increasing and several of the kingdoms look more like ruins now, the Kingdoms are standing strong and the rampage of Minimus Schlongulous, The Eternally Thirsty One, shall remain a part of the server’s in-game history.

So the Steam Summer Sale has started. I’m kinda bummed that the stuff I really wanted didn’t get too discounted but there’s always the Winter Sale, I guess.
I did pick up Saints Row 3 & 4 (with all accompanying DLC) for under $10 bucks total. I already had the PS3 versions but, eh, can’t pass up a good deal. (And, in WoW-related news, Laura Bailey is Best Boss, fite me.)

What Anthem needs is the “A Realm Reborn” treatment, it wont happen because EA/Bioware but short of shutting it down, fixing whats wrong and relaunching I dont see how this dumpster fire can be corrected.

As YongYea said in the video… the industry is making an aft of themselves, either unknowingly or willfully, and it’s just going to screw over not just the industry, but potentially players too.
