I got Imperator since it was on sale today. Only played a couple hours but it feels a lot like EUIV I guess. Apparently there is a patch tomorrow that overhauls a lot of the systems so uh I guess I should stop playing and wait so I don’t need to re-learn everything.
Economy seems like it might be more complex than CK2 and EUIV, which could be fun. I really enjoyed the economy management in Stellaris so if Imperator’s system of pops and stuff approaches that I might enjoy it.
I was listening to my friend play Conan Exiles for the first time over discord, I lol’d way harder than I should have.
He was moving through the jungle with his pet crocodile and was confused why it stopped following him since pets don’t swim, but teleport across water.
I just hear over the discord. “Come on man! It’s a river. You’re an Alligator. An Alligator!”
He didn’t realize it would teleport across to him once he crossed so everyone in the discord was laughing.
Having just finished a playthrough of Neverwinter Nights, this Pillars thing sounds like my kind of game.
The mod community in that game was insane! NWVault is still up I think. My pals and I romped around in a full conversion Dark Sun setting.
It sure is, I’ve been playing the enhanced edition on my phone and you can actually use the player content on it.

All of the, like, mechanical Overwatch 2 stuff sounds neat, but I don’t understand why people are gushing over the new designs. They look the same to me?? Just with extra Future Geegaws slapped on.
Also they gave Soldier 76 a beard and now all The Gays on my twitter feed won’t shut up about it and i am tired of earth. these people.

In less “maybe I shouldn’t have had these pain-killers on an empty stomach” news, I am actually looking forwards to getting my PC back from the work-shop next week and finally being able to jump into WoW again.
ARK, sadly, is a gonner. All my tames will have starved to death and my base despawned, and I can’t justify a game where I spent two hours a night on basic maintenance of critters that I’ll barely get time to use on the weekend. I already have pets who can give me actual affection. T-Rexes might be great, but they don’t give snuggles.
Might try to jump into Conan Exiles again, even if the RP server I joined is … weird. Almost cultish in places, but the Mods at least keep the weird sexual angles to a minimum and the slavery groups tend to be so heavily involved in capturing Thralls with giant assets that they leave the rest of us alone. I missed the base-building nonsense of Conan and even if I can’t get to the whole vanilla content again, at least I can get the patterns off the Mods and get into some good old fashion hack-and-slash without needing the endless shark-jumping of WoW to irk my sensibilities, or the pretentiousness of the Neverwinter Nights community getting firmly lodged someplace uncomfortable.
I should probably give Final Fantasy Online another shot, but everything is just so damn pretty and I like me some grit and some uggo in my fantasy.
I had to spend the last few minutes with the phone a lot closer to my face than I’d expect to try and get a grip on some of these design “updates”. (Full disclosure, one lazy google and not good crops does not make for good research).
At a glance I couldn’t tell that anything was different. I don’t know if that classifies as good or bad? Most of it seems completely pointless / irrelevant, if not a down or sidegrade at best.
Personally, I don’t like Soldier without the mask, maybe I’m just boring. Also it’s cool that widow’s wacky big open skin suit is less open but what is going on with the boob plates. I didn’t watch the panels so maybe there’s some explanation to these designs I’m missing because they just look like bad “I reset my cool points to unlock this slick prestige skin” nonsense.

Been playing Valheim, it’s a fun, relaxing game. While I doubt I will ever have the money to move to a cabin in the woods/mountains on a beautiful country like Sweden, the game gives me the closest to that experience I will get, with the added bonus of being a Viking slaying monsters of course.
I got caught back up in FFXIV. Took me a while to actually get into it, but once I did, I can safely say I’m enjoying it more than most other MMO’s I’ve played!

I’m enjoying the cinematic approach of SWTOR enough that I am putting together plot driven trailers for the classes as a way to practice my editing ability. And it’s really fun connecting my legacy together in a cinematic feeling plot line al a RP.
Persona 5 Strikers is really fun and Haru’s moveset is OP.
Updated my MtG commander decks today, got sad that I haven’t been able to play paper Magic for a year now. Have I resorted to playing against myself more than once? …Maybe. Maybe.
