There were MORE of them?!
Speaking as a catboy, Iām going to wait and see how Male Viera look with customization and what not.
There are somethings Iāve always HATED about male Miqoāte. The standard poseās fingers look contorted as if theyād been repeatedly broken a few times. Itās horrible to see it in any cutscene that shows hands. Something else is the way robes stretch out around the legs, rather than hang down the body proper, probably because of the dumb wide stance the default pose uses.
That having been said, I donāt know if any of the male Viera faces will work for me. The one with brown hair and floppy ears is a hard turn-off, and the others suffer from resting-b*tch face.
So, thatās where I am. Right now I am intending to remain a catboy, but Iāll keep the option to change open.
Oh god you and me both, but itās amazing to see my guild make it through the ARR barrier and fall in love with HW.
I just need to say one thing: seeing Forchelnaut has me realize that the moment Alphinaudās growth spurt hits, he is going to be a straight up killerā¦
And the Endwalker trailer OST is as awesome as always. I thought Shadowbringers killed it, but the middle parts of Endwalkerās are straight up on fire.
I did every single one and had to quit the game for a while afterwards. It was BAD.
Day 2 approaches and Iām unfamiliar with the format so my only remaining desire is that we get a cool job action video like shadowbringers, everything else has just been stellar.
Show me the Reaper LB3, Square.
Tell me the Gold Saucer update, Square.
Give me Blitzball, Square, you cowards
oh lol you just hit titan
good luck with that
I want Ko-koi. Possibly pachinko, but Iāve heard they donāt want the place to have too many games of chance, which is why the Cactpots are limited to 3/day and 1/week. Which is fair. Maybe institute something where you can only spend X gil/day on pachinko machines?
Nervous laughter
the bunny boy thing is so weird as a WoW player.
Devs make unpopular decision. Players protest. Devs do exactly what they ask for despite tremendous effort being required. Players are happy.
What the heck! Whereās the frustrating half-measures, the assurances that players are wrong about what they want, some stupid compromise like āwell we canāt give you bunny boys but here are some badger lads, arenāt you grateful you got something vaguely similarā?
They got mahjong. Become grandma.
I really, really want a detailed breakdown of all the risk assessment that went on in the ceoās head when he was presented the āpatch the garbage fire until itās presentable while simultaneously developing a secret second mmo revamp to replace the polished garbage fireā after a catastrophic loss plan.
In that context the decision to make the bunny boys happen almost seems expected.
Worry not, for the already endangered Catdads shall take the poor ophaned Kittyboys under our wings. We must band together to weather the raging rodent ruination.
I may become a bunnyboy if it better matches the look Iām chasing for my characterā¦ I really adore the catboys, but theyāre so short and my character is meant to be tall! Aaaah!
Regardless of whether I play as one or not, you cannot deny itās super cool that the team decided to push these guys out (along with female Hrothgar at a later date) when it didnāt seem like such a thing was ever on the table before.
also gāraha my belovedā¦
nah titanās lead-up is pretty much everything you mentioned to the point where the fanbaseās take on it through ARR is straight-up groaning
i thought it was cute but pretty long-winded, and from what iāve read itās definitely been truncated in 5.3 but NOT BY MUCH
I am not ashamed to admit that early on, I straight up just bought a skip to Heavensward. I donāt feel like I really missed out on much.
It was okay-ish. Did not appreciate the random Duty in the middle of it, especially not seeing as how that particular Duty (Longstop) was a freaking nightmare for me.
Not sure if it was the PUG I was in, but nobody was interacting in chat beyond berating my admittedly poor performance. I felt like I was made of wet tissue paper with how my health bar kept dipping. I actually dropped twice (My damage mitigation was all on CD), and I was having a hell of a time dealing with the giant swarms of enemies that didnāt seem to go down.
Final boss was a nightmare. Party yelling at me to keep moving the Dragon but the damn thing wasnāt FOLLOWING ME half the time and it felt like I was the only one attacking it.
Again, not sure if it was me or the party but it was a fundamentally un-fun experience that made me apperciate the Baccus Wine micro-arc that took place after it because I actually did enjoy that (Even if my eye twitched the second time I had to go visit the Hermit).
Titan was smoother, but I still ended up wiping the party after getting knocked off the edge by the jump. After feeling pretty comfortable with tanking in FFXIV, tonight was a night that made me question myself. Just felt squishy, lacking the options I need to do my job effectively, and felt like I was letting the other players down a bit. (Again, didnāt really have any conversations during the Titan fight either. Felt like I was doing WoW dungeons)
It didnāt exactly surprise me, if thatās what you were curious about. It was more āOh this is how we work them in.ā I have a mighty need for that armor, though.
The absolute delay between things happening between animation locks and server ticks can be atrocious, that oneās a pretty prime example. Thereās not much you can do about it, and with the need for so much movement you can easily outrange your healer if you try to overcompensate for the delay. Itās tough, especially if you donāt understand whatās going on.
But whoever those lads are, Iāll fight em.
You forgot the other parts.
āRevenue from the Mogshop for Name Changes and Fantasiaās goes up. Subscriptions increase. Positive press from the desired addition drums up increased hype for the game.ā
