Id love to see WC3 The Frozen Throne in movie
It was good yes but thats it really Warcraft as a movie doesnât work would be better suited to an Animated Series starting from Sargerasâ corruption.
It was good to throw in the trash.
It was⌠okay. It couldâve been better, and I didnât care for their narrative changes, but it wasnât terrible. Iâd probably give it a 6 / 10.
I really enjoyed the movie. My only gripe to this day was that I logged into the game after a break one day short of the event. Iâll never forgive myself, the replica lionfang and shield are really cool. Iâm still holding onto hope that one day they will be reintroduced into the game somehow. ![]()
Agreed. I enjoyed it and still watch it every so often. Would love a show adaptation either Anime or animated. ![]()
It was alright for what it was.
I do think they provided enough context for the movie to at least make sense even to non-fans. Like, sure, theyâre not gonna know character names beforehand and their importance to the larger story, but thatâs just every movie not based on existing media. The characters made sense in the context of the movie on their own and thatâs enough.
Garona retcon made sense in the context of the movie too. Thereâs too much backstory to get into there otherwise that doesnât add to what the movie was about this time around. Pointless romance arc? Sure. Being Half Human? Yeah, that tracks well enough.
I felt like Lotharâs son being added in for that pointless drama scene with the lightning wall was, well, pointless. Didnât lead to anything. They just wanted a dramatic moment so they made up a non-character that added nothing. It was an okay scene. But it doesnât mean anything when the character itself doesnât mean anything.
That aside, the only thing I had a problem with was the ending. They made a blatant non-ending in the hopes of getting a sequel.
No. Donât do that. Youâre a video game movie. Make it work as a self contained story or donât do it at all. Assuming a sequel was the WORST thing this movie did. It had no ending because of it.
I mean, it made me hate Gulâdan more.
So, thereâs that.
Dude!
That would be so awesome!
issue with movies. might have been better as a series but thereâs a lot of lore to go through
Gulâdan was the Shang Tsung we all wanted from the new mortal kombat movie, I think they did him a great justice given what it was.
It would have been better if the whole thing was motion capture. The armor looked so silly on live action actors. Garona was so cringe too. Just painted, no effort into her design lol. The only thing it did well were the orcs.
I enjoyed it, it wasnât a cinematic masterpiece and it was more Warcraft-adjacent than anything, but I had fun
The keyword is âwasâ.
That definitely had a lot to do with it. They threw too much at people.
I brought a friend of mine to it, because she loves all things fantasy, and when we were leaving her critique of the movie was, âI liked the fighting, but the world seemed really small, and I donât think I understood what happened.â
Which I thought was pretty fair. They were just hopping place to place, scene to scene, then throwing out terms like Fel. Even I was a little confused, and Iâve been playing Warcraft since the first RTS.
None of the Legion and Fel or Humans and Orcs making alliances shouldâve been in that movie to start. Shouldâve just been Stormwind gets attacked by a mysterious race (Orcs) for two hours. Start small and build.
I would say a do-over would be best. They made some really weird changes, like the Alliance being a full thing before Horde even arrived on Azeroth. The second Stormwind being there without the first one being destroyed. Dwarves being inventors. Garona somehow learning human language by living with them before they even got to Azeroth. And so on.
I enjoyed it, my friends who know a little bit of wow enjoyed it. Gave it a 7/10 because namely the movie is unfocused with like 5 stories to follow and random âplot seedsâ. I do remember one friend asked me what was different from the game and I responded with âummm well, the humans actually lose the city they are showing.â.
I know why this was the case, but it was still disappointing for me too. A TV series like Game of Thrones would be a much better format for telling a fleshed out Warcraft story. Then you can actually take the time to build the world properly.
Definitely, and the movie proved thereâs just too much lore to try and cram into 2 hours.
It is kind of boring, they should try something original not a classic movie plot just with wow
slow day, OP?
Go outside. XD
