WoW is truly the game that won’t die. If WoW expansions were named like zombie movie sequels, this one would be called, “Double Return of the Twice Reanimated Orc Zombie Panda Lich Dragons”

Just like with WoW, it’s a grind just for grind’s sake.
Such games are only really fun if you’ve got a friend with you.
I’d get bored of it within 2-4 weeks, and idk if that’s worth $70 for me- I’ll see it when it’s on sale and judge the story content then, or just watch it on YouTube.
Honestly, you don’t even have to play WoW to keep up with the lore anymore- there’s nice YT channels that’ll do that for you, and sum it in a neat package.
The story in WoW is annoyingly spread out through time gates and whatnot anyway. It takes months for a single story beat to move anywhere.

can confirm diablo forced me to update gpu drivers and the desktop I game on started clicking within 5 minutes of playing and now its blue screened

I have to admit that I still logged into WoW today to do my weekly Zaralek Caverns stuff. I also still need to do the suffusion camp to try for a suffused helm or gloves - still 1 slot short of getting the 4 piece tier bonus. Every other day of the week is for D4 though!

It looks dark and depressing, not to mention a form of game I’m not fond of. So I would give it the big miss as I suspect many other would.
Once the whole hurrah has died down WoW will still be here.

No way. People still play D3 and it’s 11 years old. D4 will be going strong for many years.

Diablo Bore? Not a chance. But Activision-Blizzard are the ones who designed the “World of Warcraft killer”, it’s just already been out for almost two decades…

Try a virtual PC? You can do the shadow PC but they are about 30$ a month. Runs highest graphics. But for 10$ you can do one called boosteroid and apparently that also can run high graphics, but I’ve only ever done shadow PC for a game my computer couldn’t run and it was worth it. Just subbed for that one game completion. You could do the same to try out Diablo 4

I predict WoW will end with a samurai themed expansion where the only way to beat the final raid boss will be through mass seppuku!

I wouldn’t be so sure. It seems that even the WoW development team wants people to go play D4. Why else would they turn ZC into such a do-nothing zone right before the D4 launch??
