I wandered over to the Blizzard shop hoping to see some good deals, but… nothing. All WoW game services, mounts, pets, etc still full price.
The only thing “on sale” is BFA itself, what a joke.

Greed man, greed.
Thanks for the update Brosieden.
Black Friday is just a marketing scam for you to buy mostly low quality products with decent mark ups where they try to entice you to accessories/other stuff to make even more money.
I bought Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on Steam so that’s something.
I might buy Overwatch legendary edition for $20, I guess it’s worth bout that.
Overwatch for $20, so not so bad.
But WoW, there was no specials to look at and purchase. And I am not buying the Collector’s Edition - it’s too hollow of a deal.
The mounts and pets usually go on sale in December. Give it some time.
I mean, works for me. I’m looking at switch game sales today.
^ This.
Blizzard usually runs a Christmas sale for stuff like the WoW battlechest (if it still exists), some pets and mounts. Not game services though. But with ActiBlizz scrambling for revenues, like the 6 month subscription mount, who knows?
Is it just me or do the Black Friday sales even outside Blizzard this year just not that impressive? Guess retailers figure consumers still have too much cash to spend or have lots of excess credit line on their credit cards.
Guess we’ll have to wait for Cyber Monday to be sure.
Well I did get diablo 3 plus the dlc for 14 bucks.
I took a peek. Too bad all their clothing is sized for YA. Somebody should call up marketing and clue them in.
Ah well. 100 well saved.
Last year, they had an illidan hoodie for sale for 60 bucks. It was on amazon for 30 bucks. It was made in Pakistan so there is no reason to charge 60 dollars. I have a feeling the 85 dollar anduin armor hoodie on sale now is much of the same. I wouldn’t mind if it was made in america.
I might have considered upgrading my second account to BfA if the discount had been better. Right now I’m fine leaving it at Legion since my highest character there is only lvl 70.
So here’s the deal. No company is going to give a break on price on anything that is in high demand. Items on “sale” are items they wish to move that demand is lagging on, inventory that is over stocked because they thought it would be in high demand and guessed wrong, or items that will ensure future business transactions on.
I suggest you watch some Deep Space Nine and pay especially close to any episodes that involve the Ferengi or that focus on the 285 rules of aquisition.
Blizzard isnt really a place I am expecting BF deals from mostly. The items are limited to games and Gamestop level gear. Even the sales this year only seemed to bring things down to what I would have called a more normal price to begin with, didnt feel like a sale so much as a temporary reduction of overcharging. But thats just me.
They gave a services sale last year, thats about the only thing I would have a use for by now.
