I know many PVE players are considering the possibility to roll on a PVP realm. With all honesty I say to you, don’t do it. At least not for a couple of months. You are choosing the worst time to switch.
It’s obvious that the ganking and corpse camping will be out of this world within a week after many reach the level 30’s and 40’s and the massive nerds reach 60. It will not be pleasant. You are seeing WPVP through the lens of normal populated realms, where you can have 3-5 encounters per hour or per game session, and that looks fun…but it will not be like that in classic.
You will be basically living with the opposite faction every minute of the day and not only do you have to compete for mobs with your same faction, but when you finally get them now you have to make sure you stay alive and finish the quest, and don’t get me started on escort quests or long walks to turn them in.
The “It’s part of PVP and it’s what makes it fun” is basically BS, since you are not fighting, you are just getting hammered down over and over again, wasting time and depleting your joy with 2 minutes of rez.
But hey! it’s your decision to do it, just don’t make threads complaining about it when you were clearly warned it would happen.
GOOD LUCK! If you do decide to go to a PVP one, I’ll be in Thalnos…in 2 months. Find me at Mankrik in the meantime.
