Can I have a invite to Beta please? 
It kind of irks me that there are people I know who got beta and even had alpha and didn’t even play it… but still flex at us who want it that they got it eye roll

Luck of the draw more or less.
When it’s in the Alpha phase, you’ll see a disproportionate amount of streamers as those are the folks that’ll help build the initial hype, but regular people DO get in.
You’ll have better chances getting into the Beta as that is generally when they are looking to ramp up stress related testing. While I can’t confirm it myself, I have heard rumors that folks on older or “strange” hardware configurations are sometimes considered, especially if some changes are being made behind the scenes that might push the minimum requirements up a bit.
I don’t think age of the account has anything to do with it. I originally had an account shared with my ex (big mistake) that was made in 2005. That one was never tagged for a Beta in the time I was with her. My previous account was created during Wrath and got access in Mists and Warlords. My current account was created right before Legion and amazingly got tagged in the final testing phase prior to launch.
Now, I do want to say keeping the account active does play a role. Obviously, they aren’t going to consider an inactive account. Also, subbing for a month or two, bouncing for several months, coming back for a month, leaving again, etc. is likely to not get you a tag as easily. I feel like that would be a sign of someone that might not be consistently around and/or knowledgeable enough about the game to provide meaningful feedback. I didn’t get Beta access for either BfA or Shadowlands. In the case of BfA, I had a long layoff during Legion only a few months into the expansion as that was when my mother’s health was on the decline, so I had far more important things to worry about and ultimately didn’t return until 7.3 was underway. For SL, there was a stretch where I just wasn’t finding BfA fun and decided I needed a break. While I’d like to get into DF, I had a nine month layoff in this expansion, mainly as I didn’t like how things were going in game, and outside of the game for a time (think we know what I’m referring to, so let’s not dive too much deeper into that)
Now, I have also heard that if you’re frequently in the various PTRs and providing actual feedback as opposed to treating it like early access that your account is apparently seen as a more favorable Beta candidate, but I can’t confirm that myself as I only sometimes dabble with the PTR.
Key thing I would suggest if you do get in: don’t treat it like early access. Yes, it’s fun to see the new stuff early, but understand that things are still being built and that you are there to help test things. I can tell you from experience with WoW as well as Beta tests for ESO and SW: TOR that too many folks treat it as early access, don’t seem to understand the purpose of these tests, then when they start complaining about bugs and glitches will actually say that reporting them “isn’t my job and the developers need to fix their broken game.” I’ve also lost track of the number of times I’ve seen “beta testers” (using the term very loosely for these folks) absolutely lose their minds when they need to reset everyone back to level 1 for proper testing purposes, or upon realizing that any XP, gold, and items they get while testing aren’t going to carry over into the main game.
Remember why you’re there if you get in. Not saying Blizzard is perfect and infallible (far from it), but I honestly think much of the reason why their releases see so many issues is because of the fact that people don’t take the time to properly report stuff and just complain very loudly on the forums that have nothing to do with testing, social media, in chat, etc.
It can be random day wise but i noticed wednesdays were update days i could not play was locked out alpha and the thursdays was when i could play, My batá only activated yesterday Thursday.
Do you have to have Dragonflight preordered on account to be eligible? I ordered physical edition.

Its an interesting thing to flex. Most people are just lucky. Some are in the right place at the right time and that is all. I hope your wait isn’t long, but if it is, don’t let them get you down. We’ll all get there eventually.

ive been opt-in for beta before it was even started and still have gotten it Blizz please let me test beta i’ve been playing since the begin of Cata and its hard since my dad passed away in 2018 we used to play together even in beta but i wish i could play beta sorry if this comment gets taken down i just really wanna try beta out

I logged into the game a month or so ago and decided to install the ptr so I could practice some things on my current specs a bit. Dragonflight dropped their ‘[news](https //www mmorpg com/news/dragonflight-beta-begins-today-expansion-will-introduce-a-customizable-less-cluttered-ui-and-hud-2000126014)’ today.
I clicked on [Drgaonflight beta opens today](https //worldofwarcraft.com/ en-us/news/23841482/the-world-of-warcraft-dragonflight-beta-test-begins-today) and followed the instructions. To my absolute surprise I was able to get to a character select screen and choose my Drakthyr to try out.
Not sure why I got into it since I rarely do much on the ptr but its just possible I was just in early enough that there was space for me. So now I have access. Go ahead and try it but follow the instructions as there may be a block if you don’t.

Not everybody will get in eventually…lots of us wont get in, its not a guarantee.

This is why I hate random invites…instead of a wasted invite, someone else could use this Beta for testing.

Please for the love of whatever God you worship give real constructive feedback…don’t just think about your char your stats or playstyle think about the overall picture…and put in proper bug reports…thank you signed all the little people who did/will not get beta invites…
