Lol i was in a top guild back then…that eas 10 years ago.
I was in Alpha and may get Beta I don’t do dungeons or raid or a streamer just 9-5 average dude who played Warcraft for years only doing quest and crafting.
Been playing since burning crusade and have never been in a beta

I got an invite… I’ve only been playing since Cataclysm so there are older “veterans”. I am not press, I do not have a fansite, I’m not friends or family to any Blizzard staff (although they probably just mean “regular fans” by that statement).
If you opted in, you have a random chance of being selected like all others that opted in. That’s all I did–I’m not anyone special.

Its probably obvious to say this - but dont forget to check on your launcher to make sure if the Shadowlands Beta is an option on your game drop down.
I did not get an email informing me beta was available but when I saw on wowhead that the beta was open it was the first thing I checked.
Random I guess. Ive been playing since vanilla and have never been in a beta. It may be because I switch accounts like 3 times so I dont know if they consider me “veteran” enough by that metric.
DF Beta will just show up in your game version selection. I also got an e-mail, but you don’t always get one.

Yep, first thing I checked was the dropdown. I suspect they activate the player accounts first and the emails are still going out.
Edit: it would probably be an issue if they got an email first but the account hadnt been set up. The angst would then flow. (: It has happened in that order for me, that I recall, for the previous beta Ive done.

Just don’t post your thoughts on the alpha forums unless you want to be attacked.
The elitists there don’t believe “regular people” should have any say about their class, dungeons, etc.

I’ve been following alpha closely and the only real examples I can think of where they are just clearly ignoring feedback is the soar speed nerf, paladin movement utility, and datamined info on them screwing over the night elves with bad storytelling. Otherwise as far as I can tell, and most content creators who’ve played are also reporting this, is that this is the best alpha in terms of communication and listening to feedback maybe ever
Pretty sure if you had alpha access it simply follows to beta access.

So just curious if anyone has any idea…do invites go out all day everyday, or just a certin time daily, or once a week like tuesdays? If its a daily thing id check it once at night daily, but if its like only every tuesday…ect…
I got invited 4 hours ago: email and install option in launcher. Although I regularly get beta invitations, I am not a high-profile player. Casual heroic raider with a few alts. This is the first time in several expansions I got invited in the first wave.
It’s all random.
