I understand that changes can throw people off a bit at first, but I also think they help keep the world of Azeroth feeling alive. When there are fewer portals, does the world feel a bit bigger to you? Do you like that? How difficult is it to get to the locations you mentioned without a direct portal (talking to everybody who isn’t a mage here ) ?

why stop there? they should remove run and make us walk everywhere. that would make the world feel so much larger, and while we slowly walk from quest to quest, we could reminisce about all the good times we’ve had.

IMHO players being able to move takes away from the realism of a world where we should be paralyzed in fear that an angry level 4 pig might run us over. Just have players stand in a pile in the starting zone and /yell about Dazar’Alor carry runs.

Next expansion they have a magical apocalypse as the void closes off all portals. If you want to go to Draenor or Outlands you have to get a mage to get you there if you are 120+.

They are wanting to make new portal rooms and have everything together. This would be a good lore reason to do it.
