The Wondrous Weaver quest doesn't trigger

I’m trying to complete the Children’s Week storyline on this toon and the quest The Wondrous Weaver is not triggering, no matter where I stand or where I walk from.
I’ve tried:

  • All the coordinates listed on the wowhead article.
  • Walking from all the bridges towards Widow Arak’nai.
  • Despawning, resummoning Destien before, during and after walking into the platform.
  • Walking around Widow Arak’nai.

The dialog won’t trigger and I’m not sure what else to do here.

EDIT: I ended up abandoning the quest and doing it again, and finally after walking around the platform forever, it triggered. It’s way too finicky, and I don’t think it’s intended.

Please check the wowhead comments, it’s not just me, I think this deserves a fix.

Edit, Apr 30th. It has been fixed for me, but apparently others are still having the issue. Edited the title to reflect this.

No it hasn’t - I have same issue AFTER yet another ‘maintenance window’ today.

Had to abandon eventually and now cannot find out where to pick it up again. Thanks Blizz - awesome quality control

Went back to Dorn, dropped whistle, got new one, did quest again. Eventually worked but still buggy e.g. dialog not happening until walking away…

Yeah this isn’t “Fixed”, I am having the same problem right now.

I don’t know what to tell you, it worked when I redid the quest on two alts.

I got it to trigger by walking to the conjunction of the bridge to the west and the central platform (55,44).
