The Whitemane Queue is 72 minutes

Tried logging in at 1030PM ST, 90 min queue, absolutely ridiculous

Yeah, and ban the bots that are inflating the server and on 24/7 too. I don’t get why they’re allowed to roam free, or why layering was removed prior to AQ anyway.

Yep. Middle of the week, late night - still a massive queue.

So you think making 100 people pay money to transfer to a server that might not be as strong is a smart idea? what happens if that server dies? that’s silly. I can’t expect my entire guild to have an extra $$ laying around. some would transfer… some wouldn’t… our entire raid roster would have to be turned over and we wouldn’t be able to recruit as well on a lower pop server… forcing us to pug to complete raids… it’s a terrible idea

If there weren’t so many bots then queues wouldn’t be an issue.

Medium pops are better than high. We were medium and it was way better before xfers made us full with a que. You can find groups and resources are not so expensive. We were are 4000 raiders now we are 8000 that use logs. Its really crazy to see the amount of raid guilds in our server. Vanilla maybe had 4 per server faction. There is over 100 clearing bwl now.

If you can’t handle it transfer servers.

How to spot someone who has never tried to transfer a guild in ONE EASY STEP!

I think the argument is that people shouldn’t have to pay to transfer servers because Blizzard can’t seem to figure out how to maintain healthy server populations, please catch up. Server transfer has been shown to cause problems on the server transferred to as well as the server transferred off of. Dead servers and regular servers that people joined to avoid queues that are now overpopulated are a direct example of this. This isn’t a player issue, it’s mismanagement.

Stop with this bs ppl on whitemane are invested into the server , you think we will leave our guilds to go to a server that we don’t know anyone or have any connections to we might not find a guild or raid to be in.

@Blizzard. Virtually no one is against having the choice between layered or unlayered servers. This solution will make you money by keeping subscribers. Please make this happen before the queues destroy the game we love for many people.

Several hundred person queue already at 3:43 server. I’m glad we had something that resolved this and it was removed. Big brain move.

Lmao yeah this is very disappointing in blizzards part

Just bring the layering back on Whitemane. Otherwise the problem will fix itself when people quit the game. I’m not going to play Shadowlands if you can’t even get it together for Classic. Blizzard is in absolute shambles right now.

I don’t know what is going on, but I am siding with the majority.

4 pm server time and over an hour queue already.

Yeah thanks for removing layers with no notice and before you had any real fix in place…you removed layers why…? The idea that population data supported this seems pretty unlikely in light of how bad queues are.

I don’t know what is going on, but I am siding with the majority.

TLDR they removed layering unexpectedly and with out Any notice because

“As we’ve constantly watched and analyzed realm populations over the last few weeks, we’ve seen enough of a recent trend to justify returning to the intended population arrangement for each realm. At the same time, we’ve unlocked any realms that were locked for new character creation.”

and this is now comically backfiring because queues are back again and becoming worse and trending back to the way they were. and the antilayer folks who have zero stake are trying anything to say no layers.

72 minutes is nothing. It was over 200 minutes for me yesterday.

Oh hey now logged in just to be a backup in case other people miss queue. Wouldn’t have logged in but have to make sure we have enough to raid. Thanks Blizzard. Bring back layers.

@blizzard - You’re not doing the reputation of your company any favors by digging a deeper hole. It almost seems like you’re TRYING to piss people off and throw away money. Isn’t the idea behind a good organization to put their customer’s first? This feels like the complete opposite. You need to listen to your audience. And right now your audience is screaming at you; pleading for you to make the queues go away. Don’t make people sit in a queue to play a game. You’re going to frustrate people to the point of abandoning the game, in turn affecting your bottom line. Make it right by bringing the layering back, or increasing the server population and throwing more resources at the server. Make Whitemane great again.

First of all, Blizzard created the entire problem in the first place by allowing paid character transfers with no restrictions on server population or faction balance. The server populations had stabilized and all servers were playable after the first few months, with the highest pop realms only having fairly low queues around new content releases. So let’s not act like this is purely a “player problem”. Second, whatever data Blizzard is looking at is hilariously out of date if they think layers were ready to be removed. I get it, there is a lot of complexity to fully solving this problem Blizzard has allowed to develop through their neglect. But bringing back layers is an easy solution with the fewest drawbacks that lets players actually play the game. I literally don’t care if we have to unlock the gates 2 times or whatever. If we can log into the game, we can deal with the rest.
