I can’t start the xpac on an alt having done the whole story on my main already and I get the quest in Stormwind and then the moment I get to Silithus or anywhere else it disappears

Same… but I leveled a new earthen up to 68 since the previous bug doesn’t allow one to finish the heritage armor quest at 50. Now I’m stuck in the Jaina loop… go to Silithus and watch them phase away before my eyes… sigh

Same. I receive the quest “The War Within” from Thrall by arriving in Org, then when I teleport to Silithus the NPCs appear for a second then phase out and the quest disappears from my log. As soon as I go back to Org, I can get the quest again, but as soon as I arrive at Silithus the same thing occurs.

Same. I tried to run my mage through and the quest kept disappearing from my log while in the mage tower. As I exited the first door in the mage tower, it came back and stayed. Then I ported to Silithus and Jaina disappeared. Not that it was easy to see here with so many other people standing around trying to do the quest too.
As a mage I ported back multiple times. I tried relogging, reloading, disabling all addons, and all the things. I even checked with Zidormi to see if the time was correct.
Nothing works. Jaina disappears as I run up and interact with her before I can do anything other than select her before she’s gone.

Yep bugged here too. Heart of azeroth quest pops up and Thrall disappears.
Same here, there is a crowd forming around jaina. Looks like it’s bugged for everyone.

Just had someone suggest to accept the quest from Adventure Guide > Suggested Content. Then go to Zidormi and turn back time to old Silithus and back again. The quest then worked for them.
I accepted the quest that way while in Silithus and didn’t have to go to Zidormi (maybe because I did that earlier) and IT WORKED!

I had the same issue which initially brought me here, but I found a work around. Press Shift-J to bring up the Adventure Guide. Under the Suggested Content tab, click through the available offerings until you find the War Within quest. Select it and your back on the quest line.

This worked, but I had to fly into another zone and then teleport back with the scroll to get her to spawn again.
Ok. This worked for me… let her phase out … just fly away a distance. Pickup the quest again from the Adv guid (Shift-J) and fly back … she won’t phase out this time.

What worked for one of my alts was to go to org get the quest. Use the scroll to teleport to silithus. Open adventure guide when there then just fly out of the zone until a new zone name pops up. Then fly back to the heart chamber area and thrall or jaina should be there. Also a buddy was standing where thrall/or jania should be and logged out and back in and could then quickly click on thrall/jania before they disappeared.
Correction: It would be Zidormi you speak to within the zone itself, NOT CHROMIE!
Might want to fix that before you send everyone and their mother on a long and unnecessary trip back to their faction capital.
With that said…
Cole’s workaround is what seems to work best, no trips to Zidormi required. If you’re in the zone right now do that. Several folks are camping the area and suggesting logging out and back in, but don’t even bother with it if you’ve got a bit of a weaker or outdated CPU/GPU that requires everything to be turned down to get even an ounce of decent performance. You’ll just phase back into the BfA state before you can even attempt to do anything with them.

You would be correct. Although since it was said to me multiple times as Chromie and I understood who and what they meant, I hadn’t even thought twice about it. I stand corrected.

If you are fast enough, relog, open adventure guide accept quest, click Thrall, select I’ve heard this before, get ported to Brann in Dornogal, get the quest to use the map
Took me a couple tries lol
You can also go directly to Dornogal from your faction’s portal room.
