If difficulty is the problem, just do it on a lower key.

I bet half would stay and stick to m+ because, well, addiction is a real thing

This is the truth behind most of the arguments for making M+ more difficult. People want to feel special and seeing more people with similar ilvls makes them feel less special.

WOW will still have exclusive content.

So…

People dont want fun
People dont even want easy
They want the best gear, at the easiest convenience. Whichever that may be

Add mythic track to pet battles and im sure people will find a way to complain thats too hard too

Maybe it’ll be something people most just ignore, like PVP.

M+ participation is roughly 20-60% higher in DF S3, with a single outlier week that was only 0.5% higher (pretty sure Christmas week). It’s really not that close.

If you’re going to use that argument, it wouldn’t be to buff M+ gear, since that’s the easier content that awards the gear.

This is effectively letting heroic Broodtwister, Ky’vezza, Court, and Queen drop Myth gear.

Catering to the ‘Hardcore’ gamers is what was killing the game in the first place.

In what dimension does catering to 10% of your population at the detriment to the other 90% in anyway a smart business decision?

I think it’s less that and more “I used to be able to do content of a specific difficulty for a certain reward level, and now the content of the same difficulty gives worse rewards.”

If you read the article, Blizzard themselves said Delves are causing issues in M+. They go in to proposed changes that sound like they exasperate the problem if anything.

I don’t care that Blizzard wants to make M+ easier, or that Delves exists. I care that they made a seemingly contradictory statement. Putting Champion gear at M+ 0 won’t stop (Or de-incentivize) players from Delving 619 gear and jumping into +7.

The players will do that via tools like raid .io instead. And the rage will exists ok both sides regardless.

Because deleting existing content should result in fewer players.

I’m sure they agree with you and all of these changes were prompted from the goodness of their hearts, and not the plummeting PARTICIPATION numbers of the content.

Which isn’t really supported by data.

Raider.io data does not indicate this season is particularly lower participation in M+ than usual, especially when accounting for the squish.

Are we going to trust Raider . io data over Blizzard’s own private census data they can look at pulled directly from their servers that they no longer publicly report?
