In an infinitely spammable game mode, there has to be a consequence for failure. In arenas you lose rating for losing. In M+, your key goes down a level. The only reason they’re doing it at 12s and up is because if you’re pushing those keys, you’re not doing it for gear upgrades. At that point it hardly matters.
If you want no key depletion in a spammable game mode, it would have to be balanced out by kicking you out of the dungeon as soon as the timer ticks to zero. No rewards, try again.

Ive had unforseen circumstances make me brick keys too. Just recently had a 13 key go down to a 9.
Yet i wasnt here demanding changes…
I also dont get why we have to nerf things. We have different difficulty levels to appease everyone. Want easy content, play the easy levels
Do the same thing with raid and we’re gucci.
Or Legion when keys actually depleted and you didnt get loot when running it to restore it

The answer to all of those is that I didn’t play those seasons
They occasionally try to make this stuff more difficult but they almost always roll it back because participation goes in the toilet.

I played DF s1 and didnt love it, just ran the easiest key 8 times a week once I had my portals.

Tell me how much raiders love being incentivized to run m+ just to raid?
They already did that in S1 with gilded crests, and that’s not changing.
All this does is move the rewards down the stack, and give them to you for easier content.
Should the 2nd half of heroic raid give myth items also?

Yeah it’s not going to be as punishing to do 10s as it was this season, so it’s almost effectively dropping 10s to 8s.
Which imo is a good thing.
If you nerf m+10 down to heroic dungeon difficulty, you should get heroic dungeon levels of participation, but that’s not what you want, is it?

But an S2 +10 is same scaling as an S1 +8.
Yes. And overall reduce the difficulty/increase the approachability of M+ for literally everyone. Net wins across the board.

Perhaps, think difficulty will equalize vs first month or something.
So still above the complainers skill level atm.
