Please change the Paladin tier set appearance for the War Within. It doesnt look good, and remind players of bastion from an expansion nobody wants to think about.

Good lord it’s ugly. The wings need to move down to shoulder blade level, not top of the shoulders. Still looks mad ugly tho. Good lord haven’t seen a decent pally set in forever

I saw most other classes tier sets were going for a more rugged look so i had high high hopes for the pally one. Getting a sweet more rugged crusader look would have been amazing. Boy what a tragedy.
Thankfully the outdoor set looks amazing but would have rather that been the pally set to get elite/mythic colors and effects.

Someone on one of the forums said it looked like play dough and was hideous. That kind of hit the mark with what i was thinking. Most of those sets look horrid but good grief the pally set is bad.

Seems like most pally sets lately have been really plastic looking super generic action figure armor. DF season 2 was alright. But man just feels like theyre allergic to giving paladin players what they all want.

All the first tier sets in war within is very bad looking. On the other hand the outdoor sets are very very very gooood. I think they may be saving the better tier set designs for later down the road.
After looking at the set for a while, what I’d do is separate the wings from the shoulders (if they’re not already) and make them the cloak. Then, shrink the wings a bit, rotate them a bit (more like the Kyrian cloak wings), lower them to an appropriate height, and add long Tyrael (Diablo) style angelic tendrils to them, extending from the feathers on the wings.
It might not save the set, especially with all the odd pastel colors, but it might look less goofy.

I find it funny that the aeathi world ser looks 1000x more paladin like than our set. Ahh well. Our sets have kinda sucked for a while so i wasn’t expecting it to be anything amazing.
Id love for that judgment set some guy made in 3d a while back to be added. That looks so dang good.

I’m gonna say it, the helms redeems it a little for me.
As a whole it’s not great but there are a few good pieces to use with other transmog.
This may be the first set that I feel is actually better with the helm. Still not a fan of the colors, and the whole set (with helm) still isn’t really that great, but I agree it is better with the helm.
The helm does redeem it quite a bit. If the wings are an occassional effect and arent there all the time I think that would be better.
The biggest problem imo which has also seemed to plague paladin sets in DF season 3 set is the pastel color combos and the plastic texture to the armor itself. Its very dull and artificial looking. These sets look like theyre made out of gummy bears or something. Hopefully they look better in game.
