The War Within came out August 26th, 2024

and in 2025 we still have people who attack their own faction going for crates that got tagged by the FFA PvP area because they refuse to read nameplates.

I don’t understand the correlation. Also, if it’s FFA, it’s FFA.

If you don’t understand the correlation why are you posting in the World PvP/War Mode forum where it’s pretty standard to know what a War Crate is and how they work?

If you do understand that already, then I feel you’re just being purposely obtuse.

Or people just want to PvP and don’t care that you’re the same faction.

Which is immediately proven an impossibility when they’re already attempting to capture the crate, see you land and don’t look past anything but your red name and choose to panic engage you which at that point you have to either kill them making yourself appear equally aggressive to anybody nearby or try to type fast enough and make them realize you’re on the same side and only got tagged hostile because you flew over an FFA zone for half a second.

If it’s red it’s dead.

You’re so cooked man, it’s over…

I mean correlation as in between the date and people targeting their own faction. I don’t think it’s got anything to do with it. I didn’t even touch pvp until the last few days. It’s not something obvious or intuitive to people who are trying something different out. That’s a problem with game design, and with communicating to these people instead of whining about them where they probably don’t read. Then you have people who don’t care. They don’t care. They will target anyone they can.

I was being nice with the dates, this has been an issue even since Dragonflight.

I think it’s just natural for people to instantly react when they see something flagged. This is why I often use normal flying in world pvp so I can analyze the situation before getting in there.

Crates dropping right inside a FFA zone are one thing, but maybe there shouldn’t be a delay in “de-flagging” to your own faction once you leave a ffa area.

I personally don’t need crates anymore on my Hunter, so whenever it’s just Horde at the crate in a free for all, I just attack them because… why not? I try to spin the crate for as long as I can until it despawns after 10 minutes.

I’m definitely guilty of this and own it, however it’s on purpose. If you are red I’m not looking at nameplates. I will try to kill you, even though you will prob end up killing me tbh, however it’s a problem I have when I see red…I just have to go for it.

Funny story. I used that engineering toy on my Vulpera to look like a male Draenei. When I got to the crate first, everyone just assumed I was Alliance and didn’t stop me from opening it. No one even attacked me when the crate opened as Horde because they were so confused.

I witnessed this, in stealth. Well played!

I do it to kill players.

There aren’t enough Alliance, so when they are flagged…I kill.

Hopefully you do it at least after the crate is captured, Horde players need to be reminded that they’re scum.

People rarely look before landing.

Alliance especially. So used to getting the crate they land on it before looking how many people are around.

Funny watching em realize what they did after its too late.
