I purchased the epic edition as well as have opted in for beta access, yet I have no email or download option for “The War Within” beta.
Is there a step that was missed?

I don’t see patch notes anywhere, so it probably won’t work until we at least see some patch notes and a Forum category.

Seeing incompatible on servers? Is that just a it’s getting there thing?
Means they are stull Alpha Servers and PTR servers. You have the client. Blizz has not updated the servers on their end yet.

Generally when you say something is going to be available on day X, it’s up and running at either midnight the day before or by 9am the day of.
Imagine Walmart not opening on Black Friday until whenever they feel like it. It still blows my mind that a billion dollar company has more casual patch cycles/schedules than literally any place I’ve ever worked.
Are yall hiring? I’d love to work in an ops env where you can just be super vague about everything.

Not talking about games, I’m talking about literally any professional service.
I work in IT Ops/Engineering. If I told my customers I needed to take the email server down for maintenance or if I was going to have a service up for them to test – they would expect an exact time window.
If I had been planning this for weeks and wasn’t ready on time they would have me on a cross. It’s wild to me that this is what we expect from Blizzard.

Do I just wait for the server to turn green, or do i keep logging back in?
Retrying over and over is just gonna cause more issues for their infrastructure. Might as well just wait.

Is the beta being release in waves by chance? I just got home to check out to see if I can download it, no email yet or it being on my Battle.net. (I do have epic paid for, twice over with that awesome collectors addition as well.)
We call that Beta testing.

My recommendation would to be just try back in 30 mins to an hour, or wait till you see someone say they got in on the forums.
Hammering the login over and over is just gonna make a big login queue.
Kill the program and restart. If that doesn’t work, go into Task Manager and completely kill Bnet and then start the launcher, again

You don’t have to pick a license in Beta.
Check in your WoW account on the site and in the subscription you will see which License name you have with active Sub on it.
Those WoW1-8 are different for everyone.
