The War Within - Beta Opt In?

It’s great to see the Blue Post about the Beta Opt in going live!

However, I have a question. Those people who Pre-purchased the “Epic Edition” of The War Within “Guaranteed” Beta access? How does that work and do we still have to “Opt In” for a CHANCE at an invite?

You don’t have to.
Also keep in mind neither this article, nor the epic edition purchase, say you’ll be invited to the beta from the beginning. You might get invited to the beta in the final wave of invites, and they still will have satisfied their end.

Theyve not said either way.
But opting in is just a click of the button so might as well do both.

It worked for me but as more people become aware of it, its probably getting a bit overloaded

oh i had to go to incognito mode. must’ve been my browser

Generally the pre-purchase wave is towards the end of Beta or at least not right out the gate where the opt in can give you an earlier wave.

They have never done a “GUARANTEED” Beta invite for Pre-Purchase… this is the 1st expansion they have actually included it in a specific edition. In the past Pre-Purchase has given a bigger chance to getting into an invite wave towards the end of beta yes, but was never guaranteed.

That isn’t how it worked for MoP - got the invite right away.

yeah they have

Haha thank Nobully and Brewa. Yeah they’ve done thia before with MoP. The invite was for the pre-orders was around the last month.

Remember Beta access is for teating purposes alone. Nothing carries over with your characters to Live.

One time 12 years ago isnt enough to base a pattern off of though

I got access long before then.

Make sure to click Opt-In 5 or 6 times just so they get the message.

I assume they will email me about it and I will promptly ignore it I got the epic edition for the 3 days early access not to provide free labor to Blizzard.

Used to be that way, but Blizzard’s “marketing” team just treats it as a streamer bribefest, now.

I hate to agree with you on this one. Though its nice when you get that email stating all your contributions to the Beta test like “500 bugs submitted” and they still exist 3 expansions later.

The company I work for is worse believe it or not haha.

The worst is when a game-halting problem makes it through, like the Master Surveyor thing that prevented Horde players from building a garrison at the start of WoD. Which was reported during beta and Blizzard just ignored it.
