The void does in fact fear death - my guess is that itâs skirting the shadowlands by being another huge cosmic entityâŠbut the idea of an âendingâ in any respect terrifies the Void. Because the void isnât ânothingâ itâs just the absence of light. Death would be the absence of all.
It is cannon that the void fears Death, not death as in the conclusion of an âanimateâ state. Reference the whispers from Alleria in the three sisterâs comic as one such issue the void has against Death. The entirety of Icecream Castle was made with Saronite and there are only a few instances in Northrend where undead in a cave inâŠI think Borean Tundra?..were effected by the saronite, the blood of an old god

YoggâSaron also claims to be the âGod of Deathâ - though I think in this case thatâs referring to the ending of that animate state. Itâs all an illusion of control that the void seeks to perpetuate - that they rule all avenues of the universe in the perceptions of mortals.
But on a cosmic scale, death means stopping in every sense. No thought, no action, no will - nothing. The shadowlands seems like a last hurrah before that true death - you get to go as long as you can, fulfilling your every desire until youâre ready to dissipate into the abyss.

The so-called âHolyâ Light on the other hand is unnecessary for it does not illuminate the infinite paths at all and illuminates only one path! The âUnholyâ Light is the true Light!
