Your intended goal with the timegating is to prevent people from fully participating each week, giving it to them in drip feed fashion.
For myself, and many others however, it has caused the opposite. I am just completely ignoring them until I can play them the way I want to. With no timegating.
if talking abouts cosmetics they are not timegated now
but the weapon vendors are still and the buffs

It’s not a timegate it’s a handicap. The content gets easier every week, it’s not unavailable.
I care not at all about any delay on getting mog items. I am SO over being flooded in this game with mog items that its like white noise, I just put on music and do my best to ignore it.
My only wish is that the rank ups for the hourglass could be earned sooner. I really want to do a 1 Mask next week to get a pattern and I need more sanity control to do that.

Honestly my only issue is that the whole event is time locked. Like… Why even do that? (Same question for Dastardly Duos).
I imagine every unique reward tied to this event is not going to be available in the BfA Horrific Visions after this ends… So it sucks if you’re not subbed right now.
Yeah the modus operandi seems to be to launch an event later on and then to have it also sliced into weekly quests or activities. Weeklies are where most things are at.
But by the looks of it this will remain in the game forever, and it isnt a usual event of set duration.
Are you sure? I thought that this Horrific Visions and the upcoming Dastardly Duos were all limited in availability. Was 6 weeks or something?
The Dastardly Duos is from June 3 to July 15 yes but HV is here to stay
But you can get the sick bicycle next week instead of waiting a month (and then an extra week because it rotates)

You have to wait for her to stand in position, then click “At the same time”. If you spam nothing’ll happen.
Mind you, this patch had 3 pieces of content with it, 2 of which are recycled from previous expansions, and all of them have timegating so egregious 1 had to have it severely nerfed and the other has already had 2 hotfixes since it went live 36 hours ago.
I’ve never minded time gated content… never really understood everyones rush to speed farm content. I’m in no rush to finish anything.
Yes the talent tree lock is very hamfisted. “Here’s the content, but you won’t be allowed to play it as designed for a week or two because we hate you.”

Still implementing timegating on content that literally has 0 impact on overall progression of the game (while calling it a season of turbo)
and doubling down on how bad timegating it when doing another interview discussing timegating is bad
but they released the cosmetics…
