That was another class in the alleged survey.
Another thing I would like to add: If we get new capitals for the future playable races being the starting area for each of these races, we should get new portal to them. What can we get as new portal for these new capitals?
- Ankoan: Need portal? No
- Broken: Need portal? No
- Forest Troll: Need portal? Yes
- Furbolg: Need portal? No
- Haranir: Need portal? Yes
- Gilgoblin: Need portal? No
- Jinyu: Need portal? Yes
- Mokānathal: Need portal? No
- Mogu: Need portal? Yes
- Ogre: Need portal? Yes
- Saberon: Need portal? Maybe
- Sanālayn: Need portal? Yes
- Saurok: Need portal? Yes
- Sethrak: Need portal? Yes
- Taunka: Need portal? Yes
- Tuskarr: Need portal? Yes
- Vrykul: Need portal? Yes
(Based on the capitals I put in my previous post)
Should playable Forest Trolls have more than one tribe option, then I think this should be reflected in the portal mages. For example, one mage would hail from the Amani, while the other from the Revantusk.
I have to admit that I personally would want both mages to be from the Stonemaul, even if playable Ogres go the multi clan route. I just want the Stonemaul to be reflected as the main Ogre group in the Horde, and that would be a neat way to help illustrate it.
After looking up some Warcraft Rumble videos for tips and such, YouTube recommendations gave me a video showing the Ogre Mage unit, including the happy dance he does when he gets added to your collection:
Pretty neat I found a video showing him in action. If we get any more Ogre units, I wonder if theyāll do happy dances as well.
Speaking of, if we get playable Horde Ogres someday, I hope weāll see a lot of Horde Ogres do a happy dance as a reaction to the news. I know Iād do one! ![]()

That was a neat video and when we get playable Ogres, I feel that it should have an Ogre be all āWeāre here!ā as we get see them in action.
I still think the Chris Farley dance should be the Ogre dance, but that little happy dance would also work for me.
I donāt see why male Ogres wouldnāt have the Chris Farley dance in WoW. Itās pretty iconic for them and it is already made in-game, so I imagine it would save quite a bit of resources thinking of and implementing a new dance for them.
It can still be their āhappy dance,ā and that dance in Warcraft Rumble looks like a short variant of it, so I wouldnāt worry too much about that.
Also Iām curious what the tagline would be for playable Horde Ogres. āWeāre here!ā can work, but something like āWeāre finally home!ā would also be on the wholesome side for many reasons.
And as I keep saying, if Ridley isnāt too big for Smash Bros., then Ogres arenāt too big for WoW. Maybe make it a part of the marketing campaign also. #NotTooBig! ![]()

Iām a fan of āHell, itās been about timeā and the classic āMe Smash!ā while the video shows an Ogre Warrior smashing someone in the face.
So yet another fun YouTube video appeared in my recommendations!
Awhile back, Rogues were opened up to all current playable races. It has opened the possibility of seeing Ogre Rogues if we see playable Horde Ogres in the future. Itās a weird thing to think about and imagine, though we have Ogre Rogues in-game such as Dagg.
As it turns out, Warhammer Fantasy has Ogre Ninjas, and the video below appeared in my recommendations section showing them off:
Since Ogre Rogues are a possibility, I thought I would share this to help imagine them. Gotta admit, an Ogre who can successfully sneak up on someone without sounding like a herd of elephants is a very skilled Ogre you would not want to mess with.
Iād be curious to see how players would design their Ogre Rogue characters. Definitely something I want to look for if we get playable Horde Ogres someday! ![]()

Thats cool and Blizzard should see how other games have playable Ogres and get with the program.
Speaking of, I have been seeing some videos popping up for Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, which some of them show off the Ogre playable race in it. Itās currently in early access at the time of this post with no official release date yet I think.
Iāll have to hunt for some videos to share here, but I did find this one that shows off Dwarves and Ogres uploaded roughly a month ago at the time of this post. There is a brief look at some of a male Ogreās customization options at roughly the 3:30 mark, with some gameplay of an Ogre Monk afterwards:
So Iāll definitely be searching for more videos to share of Ogres in this game. Maybe it could help inspire Blizzard and increase chances of seeing playable Horde Ogres someday. ![]()

Today is a big patch day! This video from MrGM goes over everything weāll be seeing in it:
Not expecting a whole lot in the way of Ogres unless there are some on the Siren Isle. Of course, theyād likely be part of enemy pirate crews if they were.
Still, Iāll keep an eye out in case anything of Ogre interest pops up. Until then, itās time to keep busy until Retail WoW servers are up! ![]()

Casting my like vote for playable ogres.
You know how weāve talked about the Ogre mount being a boar?
I rather like how armor looks on the Tracking Stonesniffers that accompany the Vrykul on the Siren Isle and I would perfectly fine if Ogre boar mounts were armored as such.

Winter Veil starts today, and YouTube recommendations is right on time by suggesting a video by MrGM going over some updates to Winter Veil 2024:
Of course, one of the biggest things I look forward to in Winter Veil is taking festive screenshots for the race request megathreads I frequent. Iāll try to find time to do that, including the usual sleigh rides and such.
Still hoping I find a Horde Ogre under my Winter Veil tree I can put on my character selection screen! ![]()

This year we will be able to obtain new pets, transmog, and hunters may acquire a reindeer pet.
Now the transmog we can obtain is a Santa Suit and I rather like the idea of having a Santa Ogre running.
With Patch 11.1, we will get new Warband Campfire character screens and have the option to create groups. So we could easily have a Draenor group (Orc, Magāhar, Ogre) or should we get both Ogres and Forest Trolls then a Old Horde group (Orc, Forest Troll, Ogre, Goblin).

So during the WoWCast, we do see an Ogre and from what I understand based on datamining that Ogre should be MugāZee, the second to last boss, who serves as Gallywixās Head of Security.
The WoWCast also revealed that Brann will have the option to be a range tank in Season 2. Not going to lie, when I heard I wondered if Blizzard was going to make range tanks an option for the player base. Perhaps making Shaman Tanks a thing or even developing a new class with a range tank option.
Iāll admit that the thought of a range tank Ogre intrigues me.
Winter Veil is live in Retail WoW!
A bit of sad news, unfortunately: It seems the sleigh rides around Orgrimmar and Ironforge have been removed. Instead, a NPC was placed that transports you to where the Winter Veil world boss is, where you ride the sleigh ride for a few seconds before it zones you in there.
Really disappointing to see, since I always looked forward to the sleigh ride for taking screenshots. I may need to repost some Iāve already taken before. Iāll also need to figure out some other types of festive screenshots to take.
Anyway, Winter Veil is coming up soon IRL, so whatever plans yāall have, have a fun, happy, and safe holiday!

New Ethereal Models were datamined in Patch 11.1 and Iām sharing this because I frankly feel that this model could be the base for a potential Ethereal race and it made me wonder if the Ogre model would go through any changes at becoming playable.
