Why? Blood Elves are the ones who changed their names. Not that I’m altogether against the idea of the High Elves uniting and choosing a different name, of course, but there isn’t much reason to. They don’t need to set themselves apart from Blood Elves, Blood Elves have already done that.
And the things that happened after that set them apart from the Alliance High Elves.
I’m excited for you to play Warcraft III the frozen throne.
Any chance you’re going to pick it up when it re-releases?
Already played and already pre purchased.
You are addressing Blizzard, aren’t you? I mean, it’s not us who have decided to name them High Elves - it was Blizzard, and they are still naming them High Elves expansion after expansion.
You clearly have no idea of what we are asking for when we say we want high elves. We don’t give a rat’s bunghole about those of silvermoon or even quel’thelas in general. We don’t want them. They have their own culture that defines them that can be seen continued with the blood elves.
High elf culture is now closer to that of humans than the old ways that blood elves kept.
When and where? Cause as far as I’m concerned, I’ve only seen high elf mentionned here. It’s the Silver Covenant ingame.
the silver covenant isn’t the only group of high elves and that is the name of the faction not the race of its’ members.
That’s exactly the problem with this demand. It’s only emotional. You can’t argue with that.
I could cite a million reason (not really) that high elf shouldn’t be in the game but you, per your term, don’t give a rat’s back of the repercusions because you just… want them.
what repercussions could there possibly be? every single repercussion thrown at us has been debunked.
Blood elves massively switching to alliance to play high elves - debunked
Blurring faction lines - debunked
Any other repercussions to discuss?
You must play only Horde then. But even as Horde, you probably have completed the quests regarding the Nightfallen revolution in Suramar. Even Elisande, an elf who was isolated from the world 10,000 years, makes a clear distinction between Blood Elves and High Elves. Go on YouTube and check it out yourself.
Plus, most High Elf NPCs literally have “High Elf” in their names (High Elf Sorceress, etc.).
Balonney. They show up once just outside the bubble and during the first fight against elisande and are nowhere to be seen within the nighthold.
What does this have to do with the fact that it is Blizzard who decided and keeps deciding to name Alliance non-voidy elves “High Elves”?
Sorry. Diagonal reading.
I dunno. Maybe just the eyes…
But as someone said on this forum that blizzard just makes mistake to justify the stuborness on high elf, maybe still calling and adding high elves is one of them
Arguing that High Elves need to be renamed is the same logic that all Blood Elves need to be called Void Elves.
They could just be the rear guard.
Blizz could quickly fix that alleged mistake. They could kill them all off. And yet they don’t.
Strange, isn’t it? Why could it be? Mmm…
Don’t forget the go-to population (in the lore) argument, which has also been thoroughly debunked by the Allied Race system itself.
Actually no, but people like to repeatedly throw debunked arguments. So, guess we have to re-debunk them.
