The Unofficial High Elf Discussion Megathread

Maybe Turalyon isn’t into purple skin

Especially armor, he has to dress like her people. She look like a misfit with those High Elven tattered clothes.

He will love her anyway she looks.

I kinda expect him to sacrifice himself for her at some point…

Well… judging by the lavish Suramar Feast

and what the food vendor in Suramar sells:

It seems like we exist mostly on Sea Food.

Everything about the diet is a great way for a human to get cancer, diabetes, fatty liver disease and maybe renal failure.

I wouldn’t recommend it for humans.

Assumptions for both cases shows that changes happens.

Everything seems to have a ton of ley and mana on it, and i guess makes sense for you to eat fish, there isn’t much space for farms in that city neither animals to hunt.

I just looked at the cooking trainers in Silvermoon and everything they sell is also an amazing way to get dead.

Elves are apparently carnivores.

This may be more of a gameplay mechanic. Gotta murder stuff to get ingredients. But you’d think Pandaria could have changed that with their farm.

In WoW plants are made for making potions…

So like… when you think about it…

Vegetables in WoW like… heal you to full, give you maximum mana, make you super strong… etc.

Anyways. That’s enough of a digression for now.

Here’s the two interviews on “why void elves?”

Shani Edwards talking allied races (5:23 of the video, it’s marked to start at that point)

“Void elves are actually something that didn’t exist before. Just something new and cool, that’s how void elf came along.”

Steve Danuser talks:

“The Void Elves were a case where we didn’t want the Allied Races to be something you were always familiar with before. We wanted to introduce new ideas, and new opportunities,”

I’d rather have had a well-thought idea over a new one, tbh.

Yeah, me too.

Pretty clear cut right there that they where not made in any relation to High Elves.

The fact that they have almost nothing to do with High Elves also proves that.

How this guys eat lynx meat, this looks disgusting, i guess most don’t like so the vendors sell human cheese and dwarf dishes, i wonder from where they get those…

Edit: I will stop talking nonsense in this thread and deviating it from the focus, i promise!

We were in a bubble for a long time. But you can’t actually survive on fish alone…

Obviously it’s not a true story… but have you ever read Life of Pie? It’s not in the movie but there is a really realistic scene where dude is going blind and his stool is hard as rocks (And the tigers) and they’re just struggling…

But you know… like I said, there is no real game mechanic to acquire fiber. So our adventurers will just have to stay nutrient deficient.

we’re gonna have to make a thread about this…

Blizzard has already said they are considering this. If it does happen, High Elves are even less likely.

If true, that’s pretty tone deaf

That’d defeat the flimsy excuse they gave for not making High Elves, that they look too similar to Blood Elves

Not the smartest way to handle the situation.

Or it would be a indicative that Blizzard didn’t want Alleria to look like a individual from a future playable race.

/looks at the azurite system.

Yeah…

Wouldn’t that mean the Anti High Elf people lost and now Blue Eyed literal Blood Elves are on the Alliance?
