I feel embarased by being a monk and forgetting that. I’m going to state some obvious differences but here i go.
They are not Shamans but named different, they cannot ask the elements for help in the same manner.
The art of fighting without weapons with proeminence is unique to them.
Chugging beer in the middle of a fight and fighting while drunk, well… nobody is weird enough to do that but them.
Mistweaving is just misterious, nobody knows what kind of power it is related to, but it have a correlation with life itself.
Why i’m saying this? Because most individuals can became Monks with enough practice and training, but not Shamans. As i said earlier, you cannot simply learn to be a Shaman.
I probably main a High Elf Hunter ether Female/Male and of course High Elf Mage. Probably Rogue if High Elves had nice Ginger Hair but that’s already blood elf. As for Paladins that depends if Quel’dorei Paladins would be available.
Who cares? Why are you always trying to start trouble?
If someone is doing something wrong report them, don’t try to start arguments to paint yourself in a better light and paint a group as bad.
We are not a Hivemind and we are not responsible for each others actions.
Your personal vendettas have NOTHING to do with the topic and coming in the chime a petty comment and not contribute is not doing you any favors.
It’s antagonistic at best and trolling at worst.
Case in point…
And you don’t need to lay these on so thick. It’s not helping anyone. Tone it down.
It takes two to make an argument.
Druids have the most possibility to become a thing with the current High Elf lore. The love of nature and the mending relations with Night Elves and all that.
But we got the Weird group of Highvale who could go in entirely new directions with their breaking off from Arcane and being friends with Wildhammer.
Both would need new lore but it’s not entirely out of the question for either.
I just think Druids are a more established option.
If they used the KT Rig, it’d make it a lot less noticeable.
The NPC models have a serious neck issue…need to visit the Orc’s physical therapist.
I wonder how complete the female blood troll big mama animation set is done…some have thought that was it’s intention too. Anyone
know what it’s based off?
Cursed Arrakoa…a group of them named Decepticaws led by the one voiced by Frank Welker.
That flat back posture man… So much neck flexion.
This is what we’ve gotta do. We’ve gotta stretch/inhibit that tight rectus abdominus. those hamstrings and that gluteus maximus.
Then we’ll work on strengthening those hip flexors and paraspinal muscles to see if we can’t do something about that posterior pelvic tilt.
As long as they stop sitting on their thrones like conan the barbarian we’ll be fine. Let’s get them to do some chin tucks or something.
Oooh maybe Croman could play into their recruitment quests…but he’s probably back on AU Draenor =[
I think they want it to be noticable tbh.
It looks so weird and painful though. I figured it was just a hold over from using the orc rig originally.
All the large titan races have them.
The Highvale ones would be the best imo.
Plus, they could come as an end-of-expansion 4 pack like in Legion, in which case Wildhammers could be the second for Alliance in some sort of Hinterlands story that ties in with the Revantusk forest trolls. Since that zone has also had a Forsaken presence since Cata, it could be a good time to release the “Nethanos” Allied Race as the Horde’s second one too.
My sugestion is to made them the “United Quel’dorei” with the recruitment scenario being about going all over Azeroth to unite them, Highvale, Dalaran, Allerian Stronghold etc. If we take only the Highvale ones, we’ll probably have no mages, priests, paladins and no nice dalarani “city high elf” kinda customization options.
There are many groups of High Elves all over Azeroth, why take just one group when you can make the Allied race based on them as a whole, like the Mag’har.
And the recruitment quest could be them establishing a population center.
It’s funny because Ion said there wasn’t really a population center they could come from (this isn’t true by the way. But he just couldn’t think of any at the time. Also that is really early in allied race development.) But the Mag’Har lose theirs and just live in part of org. The void elves didn’t have one either, they just establish one.
It would be fun to see them all coming together though. (The Quel’dorei)
I agree. Especially since they are talking about Wildhammer Dwarves. This has always been my suggestion.
I wonder if maybe they should not give high elves paladins because blood elves culture is becoming more and more based around holy magic.
I believe they should have them tbh. High elf paladins exist and are the same type as humans and dwarves.
Blood knights are different though not as different as they were originally. Blood knights originally drained the power of a captured naaru. Now they pull their power from the sunwell directly. They don’t get their powers through faith and devotion like the dwarves and humans.
Taliesin/Evitel interview with Jeremy Feasel is out (I haven’t watched it yet):
Edit: I’ve watched it now. More allied races during BfA confirmed. Some of the island expedition quests will lead to storylines within BfA. Crestfall island expedition will have a Second War theme (Confirmed dragons and wildhammer dwarves there. Could we also have high elves? Please!). Jeremy’s reactions towards Azshara, Saurfang and the Black Empire pics in the “see-a-picture-say-something-about-it” game near the end are quite interesting.
I’m not so sure. Considering it seemed like they had Allied Races planned for the entire expansion, now they have nothing they’re ready to announce. It feels like some concepts are being revisited now. Likewise I think they learned a lesson about the Kul Tirans; a custom rig delays Allied Races far too much.
The helping high elf quests are you usually the ones I see the most. I actually think they might be coming now
He wouldn’t say specifics before an official announcement, and I think an official announcement will come during the next big gaming convention or event. But he did say pretty plainly that that there will be more allied races and, when asked if the system would continue post-BfA, he said they haven’t planned too far into the future.
So yes, there will be more allied races during BfA. After that, it’s anyone’s guess.
Wonder when Ion will stop trying to fun police and realize that if a forum post can have several reincarnations and get 7k responses on the last one, its time to give the community what it wants…
