The [Unoffcial Official] Meeksi playable race thread

These pets are humanoids and according to Wowhead, these creature are called Meeksi.

Here are some of their descriptions:

  • “The Fullbelly meeksi will often put their own safety at risk if they smell food. Nothing brings them happiness like a cup of tea and a warm meal.”
  • "Razeshi B. is known for her short temper, quick wit and sharp barbs. The B. stands for “Best check yourself.”
  • “The meeksi Teatuft Tamers love lounging with their Teatufts and sipping a cup of mystical tea after a long lazy day.”

They have the vulpera dance

O, I always wanted Red Pandaren customizations but they are locked behind Female Pandaren skins. Could be a new Pandaren customizaton for male and female Pandaren?

I can hear and feel the vitriol keyboard smashing of some people if this turns out to be a real playable race, esp on Reddit.

They definitely have used Vulpera skeleton for this.

I really want to roll as a meeksi.

Nah this isn’t final fantasy Vulpera and Pandaren are enough.

I think you are confusing Dracthyr visage forms with Vulpera because the visage form is definitely from Final Fantasy art book.

I have a feeling this will end up as an npc type race like kobolds or owlins.

NGL something about having these guys as pets feels weird, and reading the descriptions has only made it worse. They’re clearly more intelligent than your usual pet, it’s like having a Vulpera as a pet lol. They kinda look like something I’d see in a Korean MMO too, they feel a little out of place. Dunno, might just have to wait for the update to see what they’re about :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t know how they’d add it… or if it’d make sense in the lore… but I want it, yes, please… it’s so cute.

It’s crazy that we have 4 types of elves, a variety of different sizes of humans with different ear shapes, and your deal breaker is too close to Pandaren.

I do believe they would be more like Owlin or Kobold; NPCs that created to liven up the world and lore and help us in quest and serve as vendors etc.

I mean…nobody here has any say in whether or not we get these creepy little gremlins as a playable race. My first thought was “AHHHH! Burn it with fire!”

But that won’t discourage or encourage Blizz in either direction.

I think we have the fuzzies just as covered as elves at this point though. Tauren, Worgen, Pandaren, Vulpera…am I missing any?

That’s just as bad as 4 elves imo.

Replace Vulpera with these and I would approve.

That would be a slight upgrade.

DnD is on this same arch, and I don’t even think it’s a furry agenda.

It’s just eventually you start running out of idea’s and animals is all you can come up with. "uh how about a chicken race? An owl race? A pidgeon race? An elephant? A frog?

It’s an infinite pool of race ideas for lazy/uncreative game devs.

Thanks for the laughs!!!

Yeah I don’t either. We’ve kind of depleted the “fantasy race” options that we can. So now we’re just slapping an upright posture and a slightly humanoid face on any animal and calling it a fresh idea.

Yea I think they should start going back and fixing their old races to be more appealing.

Give woman players more options they would actually enjoy. Like give the undead a sort of pale faced vampiress option. Make female Taurens less awful (I think you could just give them better posture and nicer hair options and it would work well). Don’t know what you could do to fix female trolls… (female orcs are ok I guess).

And fix Dracthyr to have an option that appeals to men. A regular bulky drakonid with legs that people wanted from the beginning.

Lots of work could be done.
