It took me a bit to get it but now it feels proper good on gamepad controls.
I got a tire upgrade but I wasn’t able to test it before I got into work. I have to see if you can craft/buy other upgrades.
I think it’s real cool you can trade upgrade parts with other players. The ones that drop from rares, anyway.
Anyway, yeah, I’m really digging it. I wish D.R.I.V.E. would be a thing for ground mounts in general, but maybe one day: Skyriding wasn’t a thing until this very expansion, after all.
Well, getting stuck on a pebble is more fun than pressing skyward accent and it consumes vigor but you go nowhere because of something in the way. Vigor just doesn’t feel great.
Yeah I feel like there’s so few of us that like both, lmao. People are trying to make it a war between teams “All flying sucks”, “Skyriding sucks”, “DRIVE sucks”, etc
vigor system needs a lot of work, and being able to AFK while flying should b easier to go on auto pilot.
I also think being on the “ground” is something I’ve missed. It makes the game feel more immersive. Makes me appreciate the design and effort that went into building the content.
Blizzard taking flying away each tier hasn’t been great, but having places where we can’t fly like this I think is essential, otherwise we are just “zooming” through content and not playing.
The thing is, if DRIVE didn’t clash so horribly with how well all of WoW controls, then maybe it wouldn’t suck so much—but it does.
Almost everything in the game, including dragon riding, gives you extremely precise control over movement. Meanwhile, DRIVE feels like a 1970s developer’s first alpha attempt at making a bumper car game—drive five feet, bump into a pixel, reverse, repeat. That is not even remotely the same experience as dragon riding.
Ah yes the classic only my experience matters even when contrary experiences are shared.
Unironically this is how we got to shadowlands.
Maybe we need a shadowlands again to give yall a wake up call, millions of players leave, stock price tanks, devs beg players to come back.
Well, here is my take on it. You either like it (Great) or you don’t (Great). Giving feedback as to what you do or do not like about a feature is a positive thing to do and healthy for the game to progress.
The real issue comes into play when you have those who do, or do not, like this new feature trying to shout down someone giving their own opinion (feedback) on a feature.
I myself haven’t bothered with much, so haven’t unlocked it yet. Not sure if I even plan to because at this point I’ve kind of lost my drive, no pun intended, to keep on with the story and progression. I’ve been in a lets go back to old stuff mode, working on things I never unlocked in older expansions lately.
Flashbacks to blizz screwing the entire playerbase by putting all the zc rares on some weird af quadrant rotation that nobody to this day ever understood.
