So i had spent all week collecting world buffs for a potential naxx on the weekend and this morning i got up early and snagged DMF. I hearth back to org and i unboon to boon my Dmf and this mage jumps down from on top of the inn out of nowhere with atiesh and full naxx gear and boom all my wbuffs gone. Then i chatted with some people and they told me that certain people spend hours doing that or waiting for it and that they even record it and make videos. Is that level of griefing reportable or is it considered normal gameplay. To me its kind of sociopathic, like why does it give you so much pleasure to ruin someones fun and grief them so hard? I guess i just play the game for a different reason and dont see the fun in that. But that totally ruined my morning. Never falling for it again

It’s harder to be pvp griefed if you turn off war mode. One might actually say the option means you can’t be griefed.

You can edit this post using the pencil if you wish and select move to the forum you wanted it in.

Remember when people would make low lvl ‘buff purge’ toons and run them all the way to Blackrock Mountain?

Good times.

You might’ve killed them, but they removed your buffs, and thus damned you to a poor raid parse.

You might’ve won the battle, but you’ve also lost the war lmao.

Person shares how their were griefed and the “community” instead of support laughing, demeaning, mocking person.
There was no PVP you delusional ***** it was ganking and griefing, that is why I am in constant WMOFF.

There is a similar solution even though warmode doesn’t exist on Classic.

If you don’t want to get griefed by the watch the world burn types, don’t roll characters on a PVP realm.

THIS… Threads like this one are exactly one of the reasons why PvP servers were killed, and WarMode was added. It’s the ONE perk in the game I never touch. I like to log in and let my hard work speak for itself and not have it ruined by some whackjob with an itch to scratch.

I play on retail and never enable warmode, just as how before warmode, I didn’t roll characters on PVP realms.

Yep. Enabling sociopaths is Blizzard’s way of trolling players by proxy.

It’s awful what they did but also awesome. You play on a PvP server, you should never have an expectation to ever be safe. It’s what makes a PvP server fun.
