I feel they tried to cater to the players who used ui addons like elvui to lure them back but screwed over the players who enjoyed the classic ui. The new setup is irritating. Why can’t you adjust the size of the mini map alone and why are the bags/player options on the bottom right just ugly AF. I agree that there should have been a no thanks to this new garbage option.

As someone who has used Elvui for years, putting in hundreds of hours tinkering with it, no … the new Blizzard UI is comedic at best.
It genuinely made me laugh.

I never quite said it took me 10 hours to “get used to it” but that i’ve been playing with it for tens of hours.
As in, customizing for multiple classes, and specs, across multiple toons.
Man people will really assume anything these days on the smallest fragment of information just to fit their narrative or support their pre conceived idea.
It took me maybe 2 hours tops to “figure it out” but again i’m dumber and slower than most.

… how do you not know how to use a UI? 
People aren’t stupid. New players aren’t stupid. Many many games have had customizable UIs for ages. Old Republic, Rift, etc. For over a decade.
Move them? Change them up?
I have no issues with them having a toggle for the old UI. But let’s not paint new players as stupid, please.

ElvUI is much better than this new one by a long shot. Been using it for many years. Going to continue to use it after this new UI nightmare.
There’s a dozen UI addons if you don’t like the default.
Like we’ve been doing that for about 18 years now . . .

Here, if you want a really fast easy “clean” UI that i designed based on hours of testing and of course “my own preferences” you can copy and paste the string below into your editors and create a new layout and see if you like it. It takes the side vertical bars, makes them horizontal. Though i changed the bars to 11 rows instead of 12 just because based on my keybinds on my mouse it works better with an odd number of rows. all the UI elements are placed in such a way that no matter what is “active” on your screen, nothing will overlap with anything else.
Give it a try. Just a tip, if you go to edit mode turned on and you put a check mark on everything in the box in the middle, you can see every single “element” the game has to offer. like 75% of them are hardly ever active at any given time. But you can at least see where they would show up and where i placed them, so that if they do pop up you’d know where to expect them. Including party frames, raid frames, etc

It’s not to get what you had at all, it’s a completely customized layout i made, but if all you wanna do is doom and gloom instead of check it out that’s your perogative.
