Any particular reason why Warlocks can not bind Demon Hunters? Binding low level weak arze Demon Hunters wouldn’t really change the game in any way especially if they are hostile NPCs which is what I am concerned about. Warlocks can summon massive Infernals and Doomguards but not a weak arze Demon Hunter? Binding them shouldn’t be that tough IMO. Or are Warlocks just too weak to perform this feat? Ofcourse I am referring to the player Warlock here not any Warlock. Most of these hostile Burning Legion-based Demon Hunters are not in their humanoid form, they are in their Demon form, so I feel it should be easier to get this done.
So keeping aside the mechanical gameplay aspects, why can’t I just run up to Caria Felsoul in the Broken Shore and bind them to me? Even if it’s just temporary…Which would actually be cool.
Technically a demon hunter’s “inner demon” is bound by the hunter’s rituals and arcane tattoos, while the demon hunter’s mortal self is the intellect in control. So while they’re sort of “carrying around” a demonic reflection of themselves in their minds and bodies, it’s already being dominated.
Though it was suggested by Tehd Shoewmaker at one point during Legion that as a warlock he made some of the demon hunters uncomfortable, because while not actually demons, their bodies are sufficiently charged with the fel that spells designed specifically to subdue and banish demons may still work against them, especially if they let their own control slip.

A lot of it is down to gameplay, but in theory some Demon Hunters could be Banished or Bound, yes. Kanrethad, the Warlock who pioneered Metamorphosis (which was a Demo Warlock staple for… eight years), was Banished by another Warlock when he went crazy.
He learned how to do so because he was part of the group that took down Illidan in TBC and then studied his works and created a similar spell to Illidan’s demon form, which in turn earned him his place on the Black Council.
This would mean that logically one would be able to Banish or Bind a Demon Hunter in their own Metamorphosis form, or a Demon Hunter that has a demon soul, like Illidan or the PC, or a Felbound Demon Hunter like Cyana Nightglaive.
But gameplay beats story, sadly, and also Blizzard wants us to forget how much old lore and cool spells they’ve removed from the game. It’s really sad when you realize that the majority of the spells each member of the Black Council created to earn their seat on said council are now… removed.
I mean, you could… it’s just basically be enslavement since Demon Hunters are sentient and considered people…

Probably for the same reason that shackle undead and exorcise don’t work on Forsaken players anymore. They’re all listed as humanoids, not demons or undead. It ties into hunter tracking and a bunch of other mechanical spell effects that Blizzard clearly wants to avoid.

What about Banish? Can I run up to a hostile Burning Legion affiliated Demon Hunter npc (while they are in Demon Form) and then Banish them? I imagine Banishing them might not be considered evil for the warlock. As a warlock I should be able to Banish hostile npc Demon Hunters though no? Forget about enslavement, Banish seems more simple.
